As much as I wanted to like this book, I just wasn't feeling it. I've read six graphic novels and two other novels since I started The Book of M. I wish the author nothing but luck but this is a didn't finish for me.

The writing is beautiful and Audrey knows how to turn a phrase....but....I can't connect with this book. It's taken me a month just to get halfway through. I love Audrey's works but this is a pass for me. I know I'll finish it someday but for now it's time to move on.

When I picked up My Oxford Year, I was expecting a simple love story. Yes there would be consequences for actions, anger would be misdirected and lives would be changed but....what I didn't expect was this emotion that stem from personal experiences that the characters also experienced. This was a beautiful book and recommened for anyone who wants a read with a little bit to it.
