Elevator Pitch by L.B. Dunbar was a fantastic start to the Chicago Anchors series. I was hooked from the first chapter. I devoured this book and didn't want it to end. I enjoyed all the characters and the baseball world that Dunbar had created. The chemistry between Ross and Vee was off the charts! It's been a while since I've gotten tingles from a couple so early in a book! I appreciated the way the children of each parent has their own personalities and ways they interacted with their respective parent. The struggles with the Anchor's baseball team was interesting and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book(s). Elevator Pitch was an amazing read that has me wishing it hadn't come to an end.

The One Who Loves You by Pippa Grant is a flirty, fish-out-of-water, romance that rapidly pulled me in and wouldn’t let go! I was listening to the audio book version of this story and wasn’t sold on the narrators. I really struggled with the male narrator. I felt like the way he portrayed Teague was older than the 40ish years that he was described as in the book. However, the story itself was quirky and engaging. I loved getting to see how the town slowly came around to the Lightly family and how Phoebe changed her ways over the course of the book. Tickled Pink seems like such a close-knit town, that’s I’d love to visit. I can’t wait to read more Tickled Pink in the future!

Lessons From A One-Night Stand by Piper Rayne was a swoony and heart-warming read. I loved the cozy and quirkiness of the small town. I appreciated the depictions of educators through both characters. The banter between Holly and Austin was amazing. I can’t wait to dig into more Bailey’s as they too find love!

I struggled with the FMC. For a supposed kind and nice character she was obliviously insulting to hero when she meets him. I DNFed this story at chapter 6.
