Midnight Obsession by J.L. Kenna is a thrilling second book in her Beautiful Bastards series. The push and pull between Hayden and Pippa was exquisite. Their intimate scenes were spicy, and did lean towards a bit more rough, than I normally enjoy, but were so well written. I loved how Hayden and Pippa both grew as people throughout the book. I appreciated the positive therapy representation. This book does take a dark turn near the end and has several heavy scenes about past abuse, so please make sure to read the content note before reading. Overall, this was a great story and I can't wait for more of J.L. Kenna!

The Brilliance of You by Charissa Gracyk had me on the edge of my seat wondering if Everly and Chase would ever find the diamonds and if they were going to fall into the temptation of each other. The clues and adventure lead me on such a wild and thrilling adventure fraught with lots of peril for our hero and heroine. The intimate moments between Everly and Chase were so hot! I'm was enthralled with The Brilliance of You!

Reactivated: Jericho by Charissa Gracyk was an action packed third installment of the Project Phoenix series. The the love that Jericho has for Sydney is so swoony and his restraint to keep himself away from her created such romantic angst. I loved how Sydney seduced Jericho several times and their intimate scenes were spicy. I can't wait to see what happens with the other members on the team and how they deal with their powers.

Man Eater by January James started off with a bang, in a direction that I hadn’t anticipated. I was pulled into this story right from the summary and couldn’t put this book down. I had to know how things were going to go down. I felt terrible closing my book during certain scenes because I didn’t want to leave Jade or Quinn in a weird limbo place. The intimate scenes in this story were uber steamy.

My biggest issue was that I felt like the end was more easily solved than I the reader had been led to believe. The twist for who wanted Quinn destroyed really threw me. I hadn’t seen it coming at all, but the way that Quinn deals with that person, just felt so easy. Overall, I would be interested in reading more from January Jones.

What Drives Us Home by K.B. Barrett is an emotional and swoony second book in the Mountain Roads Series. Connor and Addison both go through some hard trials before they get to their happily ever after. I enjoyed how Addison pushed Connor to be his best and also understood that his career is difficult to work around. I felt like some of the story needed to be explored just a bit more, like more with the people involved in the drug ring, what happened with the driver who ambushed Connor, and was the missing deputy from Crater ever found? Overall, I really enjoyed Addison and Connor, visiting Savage Valley again, and the suspenseful feeling this story evoked. I just wish there was bit more to the story’s plot around the drug ring.

A Best Friend's Guide to Taking Risks by Kadie Scott and Nicole Flockton was a light and flirty read, but I struggled with the pacing. That really put a hamper on my enjoyment of this story. I did enjoy the characters and their shenanigans. The risk card game that Natalie and Hunter play was a fun idea and I would have loved to have seen more of it. I really enjoyed that Natalie embraced herself completely and didn't let anyone keep her down for long. Her sisters were fun side characters, and I liked how they supported Natalie.

At A Dreamwalkers Mercy by K.B. Barrett was a unique take on paranormal romance. I loved the dreamwalker and seer aspects in the story. The acceptance and love Garrett gives Mercy was beautiful. I'd love to learn more about Sara and what Mercy saw when she touched her. I'd love to see more cases where Mercy and Garrett team up to help save people. Overall, I loved the idea of this novella and really want more Garrett and Mercy!

Something About You by K.B. Barrett was a heart palpating story. I loved how Danny and Jill both made each other stronger. Danny’s secrets were deep and dark and I appreciated how Jill accepted him for who was, demons and all. This book kept me guessing when the relationship strife would occur and in what manner. I didn’t guess the twist in this story and that kept me wondering till the end. I loved the love between all the characters in this series and how they come together to help each outer out in their times of need. You couldn’t have asked for a better finale to the I Found You series.

Brighter Than Gold by Charissa Gracyk was a fun, adventure packed, treasure hunting romance. I had trouble setting this book down. The situations that Hollis and Dylan find themselves had me on the edge of my seat. I loved all the SCUBA diving, chases, danger, and romance in this book. Dylan and Hollis had some steamy scenes once they stopped fighting each other. I couldn't get enough of this book and can't wait to read the second Fortune Seekers book: The Brilliance of You.
