Midnight Obsession by J.L. Kenna is a thrilling second book in her Beautiful Bastards series. The push and pull between Hayden and Pippa was exquisite. Their intimate scenes were spicy, and did lean towards a bit more rough, than I normally enjoy, but were so well written. I loved how Hayden and Pippa both grew as people throughout the book. I appreciated the positive therapy representation. This book does take a dark turn near the end and has several heavy scenes about past abuse, so please make sure to read the content note before reading. Overall, this was a great story and I can't wait for more of J.L. Kenna!
