The basics of this story line have promise, but the book could have benefitted from some strong editing and feedback. Lots of plot holes and missed opportunities to drive the story deeper. That being said, I was still entertained, but not as satisfied as I could have been.

An excellent story about a remarkable woman. Based on the life of Anne Lowe, a black woman who designed many dresses for high society in the mid 1900s, including the wedding dress of Jacqueline Kennedy in her marriage to JFK. The author takes some liberties, but explains them in the author's note.

I'm really loving this series. Geeky SciFi, alien contact-ish, nation's uniting against a global threat. Definitely could become a movie.

A fine addition to the JP Beaumont series. Sometimes though the series shows its age with the language and stereotypes in the books. This one had more of that than typical, I felt.
