I'm impressed the Harry Bosch series is going this strong after so many books. I really live the character of Renee Ballard and the prominent role she's taking on. This book has two crimes she's solving and the stories are woven together well. 

If call this a sci-fi thriller and I loved it. Fast paced, engaging and had me at the edge of my seat with my hand on my mouth most of the book. 

It reminded me a lot of 11/22/63 - multiple timelines, and the consequences of them getting messed with. 

Don't read this book, instead read one of Mary Kay Andrews' more recent novels, they're much better. The characters in this book are unpleasant, make awful, ridiculous decisions that allow the plot to continue in frustrating ways. 

Historical fiction that flashes between two women: a mapmaker who is in the favor of Queen Elizabeth I in 1580 London & Amsterdam; and a woman in present day, 2022 London who finds a beautiful medieval map and is trying to discover its history. 

Very entertaining, and I got to learn a bit of Dutch history which was neat as I just visited Holland for the first time recently. 

Centering around JFK, the Bay of Pigs, the CIA, and Nixon. A lot of intense interwoven details to follow. Maybe I just wasn't in the mindset to get wrapped up into it. 

Historical fiction based around the life of a middle-aged Andrew Carnegie while he was growing his empire and before he became a massive philanthropist. Lots of vivid imagery, it's easy to picture all the places described. 

A queer, neuro-diverse romance based in a fictional reality dating show that made me smile.

A bit predictable and the end wasnt wrapped up completely, so I took off a point.

WWII historical fiction bouncing between the stories of two women fighting in their own ways for the Allies. 

I love how Fiona Davis' books tie together tdi very different generations and stories across time, interweaving the two story lines beautifully
