It was a pleasure to spend time with Lark and Callum and follow their love story. The pacing felt reasonable and the relationship felt earned. There was quite a bit of yearning and angst, but it lent itself well to the story beats.
My only real complaint was Lark's workplace issues in the third act. Lark started off so much stronger than the story allowed her to be in that moment. I understood that it was a combination of grief and avoidance leading to her sort of bystander and passive reactions, but it didn't make it any less frustrating. I may have yelled at her to speak up a few times.
But overall, the story is lovely and really has me wanting to go back to Ireland.

This was such a lovely story with great characters that you want to spend time with. Ray is such a charming individual that you understand why they easily make friends and win over (not so much grumpy as stressed and anxious) Simone. The theme of found families and their importance to a variety of people is great. My biggest complaint is that I wa t to know what the letter said at the end! It felt like a lose end (along with the reaction to it). And I was dying for some Chase schadenfreude, but alas...

Josephine is such a fun FMC! Strong, independent, and unafraid to go for what she wants. Her actions and resctions made sense throughout the story, which is always a welcome development. The fact that hot and grumpy Wells brings out the side that admits to needing help is just the cherry on top. And the spice? 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

The story is very cute - emerging witch discovering her power with the help of her werewolf buddy - but sometimes the story was bogged down in the banter. There were also weird story beats that seemed to go nowhere (who and what the heck was the old man that runs the grocery?) That being said, it was fun to visit with Cass and imagine her on the Hoover, and to laugh along with Seth's adorkable awkwardness.

There are lovely and charming characters throughout this story, and the individua MC arcs are believable and, for the FMC, relatable. Where I think this one falters is the believability of their relationship - yes, they work well together. Yes, she makes him laugh. Yes, she's highly competent. But there's no real resolution or discussion about his hurtful description of her, other than the part about "not being Hollywood." It stuck out to me since everything else is resolved so well.

I'm not really sure what I thought I was getting myself into, but I can't say the signs weren't in the title. "Milking Farm." There's a minotaur on the cover. There's a down on her luck FMC. There's a lot of milk. But ultimately, Rourke is as swoon-worthy as a minotaur can be, and the cast of characters (vampires, elves, and orcs, oh my!) made for a fun world that I could understand Violet wanting to be a part of.

It had been a while since I read The Unhoneymooners, but it was so fun to revisit the Torres family and their particular brand of chaos. The full cast narration makes this a fast and entertaining story, with jokes landing so well I would be caught off guard. While there are still times I just wanted to shake Ami and tell her to get over herself, the flawed logic she employs is what makes her deeply human and relateable. Brody is a swoon-worthy foil who is deeper than he first appears. All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon.

I loved revisiting Graves Glen and spending time with Gwyn. She's such a fun character, and her devotion to the baby witches was a constant delight. I'm a sucker for enemies/rivals to lovers, and appreciated the budding relationship between Gwyn and Wells. I thought the conflict in this story was more interesting than the first book in the series, and not as easily resolved. The narrator does a great job, making this a fun listen.

This one is very cute and light and easy to read. The main conflict gets resolved a little too easily, but it was fun to spend time in Graves Glen for a while. The animated skulls were a particular highlight, and I enjoyed Rhys's dry humor and Gwyn's sarcasm. Charming overall.
