Premise ain't new but that world building is just so awesome. It's an entire 360 of a plot. Love my MC's crazy and loyal - this just hits the right spot time and time again. We have an immortal cursed and blessed by his own immortality yet setting his burden aside for his family. Awesome writing!
I have read quite a few mafia romance last year and getting back into it this year with this book [again] just proves to me that this genre ain't dead. The taglines and characterizations is just superb. Would definitely be something I'll be looking forward to as a series

OH.MY.GOD! Thank goodness for Netgalley, was able to obtain a copy of this book. At first, I requested for a copy because of the cover and the blurb. Diiving into the book without any expectations, I was blown away by how awesome this was!
Second book on a series (but can be read as a stand alone), takes us on the adventures of Gen, 17 year old Mindbender heroine all the way from Olympia to Elysium in order to obtain the legendary golden apples of Hesperides and the monstrous Cerberus. Soubds familiar? This series referenced the 12 Labors of Hercules and more...
1. I like the fact that the Hercules was an Amazonian -strong willed, family oriented and just simply loves fiercely
2. Castor and Pollux - I really love how the author took these 2 mythology personas and shaped in as driving force characters on the series.
3. The addition of magic system + mythological aspect is the bomb. It was written delicately and deliberately at the same time.
4. The storyline was just

So this is my first time reading a ook combining actual herbology with murder mystery and safe to say, I like it. I appreciate the new knowledge on different plants and what it does to a human anatomy. It was weaved in seamlessly to the storyline.
Plot wise, I am on the fence how I feel about it overall. While I like the different twists introduced, some sounded abrupt because of the transitions could've been better.
I like the characters and their personality, although at one point there were repetitions of descriptions and the meet up between characters were confusing. Nevertheless, the spunk of the FMC more than made up for it

The wait is so worth it. This series introduced me to dark romantasy and same as what happened to the first three book - devoured this one in one sitting.
Continuing the story between two banished fae princes, the Never King, the Dark One and Winnie Darling; the last book solidified majority of the lingering questions I had from the first three books. Conceptually, it was more cohesive and there is a distinct direction how the author wanted the book to end.
The characters are loveably unhinged as always which made reading this more fun!

This is one of those politically driven fantasy works that has machinations left and right to keep you coming back for more! I don't know which aspect of the book I like more - the plot, the characters, the word building, the twists! OMFG!! So awesome!
This is for readers who likes Games of Thrones-esque kind of secrets and build up. Can't wait to read book two!!!

Okay so earlier this year, I succumb in purchasing the Shatter Me Series because of the amount of edits I have seen the past years about this series. Safe to say, I was swayed by the public opinion
