Molly and Shani start off on the wrong foot (read: Shani can't stand Molly) but they are idiots and desperately attracted to each other. They go back and forth for most of the book because the sale of the farm is constantly hanging over their heads. Honestly, I was so in for the drama and loved the bit of tension it added to the plot. Jennifer Dugan's romances are so easy to fall in love with, because the character arcs are heartfelt and the characters are perfect for each other.
Looking for a hot lesbian cowgirl? Desperate for a queer western romance? Love messy, dramatic, hilarious, heartfelt romances? Does Nate the Hoof Guy keep popping up on your TikTok fyp? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be entitled to compensation in the form of another amazing Jennifer Dugan novel!

Alex is ready to be an "even hotter, ready-to-have-some-fun badass bitch" I love it! She knows her worth. She's fun and flirty. And, she's the perfect match for her dad's best friend, workaholic, stressed-out, silver fox Elijah. The chemistry was off the charts!
Looking for a steamy, open door, age gap romance with a plus-sized badass bitch fmc? Look no further! Kayla Grosse served it up to us on a silver platter. Silver Foxed is a super quick, smutty, good time. Perfect beach read for summer.

From the start of A Bluestocking's Guide to Decadence, Emily and Jo are complete opposites. A strait-laced doctor and an ever indulgent, suit-wearing book store owner walk into a bar... and the joke is the tension is off the freaking charts! I liked how their relationship went from hate to love because it felt true to the characters. Yes, I now have a deeper appreciation for buttons 🥵
So much of this worked for me: sapphic, hate to love, epistolary romance (kind of), queer found family, and characters coming into themselves and their interests. I'm liked both Emily and Jo together and separately. I loved the friend group!
Can't wait to go back and read the first two books in the series! If this one was anything to go on, it will be a diverting time. If you, like me, are looking for sapphic historical romances look no further, Jess Everlee delivers.

Match Me If You Can is friend to lovers gold! Jia and Jaiman have been friends forever, so they're not gonna let one little (meant: life changing) kiss get in the way. They want each other so bad! I freaking love it! I also like that their beliefs about matchmaking were completely different, but Jaiman still supported Jia's blog.
The whole story is set in Mumbai, and I really got a feel for the city because of Swati Hedge's writing. I want Jaiman to make me a special matchmaking drink! I loved the various settings throughout the story, especially the pub. I'm a sucker for descriptions and Hedge certainly delivered.
This is only her debut!!! Can't wait to see what comes next! If you like Jane Austen retellings, friends to lovers, and a good slow burn, I definitely recommend picking up Match Me If You Can. It's a quick, fun, romantic read!

Kristina Forest gave us the book loving mcs we've all been hunting for. Every time a book was mentioned I smiled and the bookstore date had me swooning. Also, I'm a complete sucker for dating lessons and Nick's lessons were so fun! The romance was just so sweet.
There were a few moments that felt a bit slow, but overall I still enjoyed the book. Both Lily and Nick are struggling in their familial relationships. The conversations they had as a result are super relatable. The audio is definitely the way to go because Keylor Leigh and Malik Rashad did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life.

Beartown is traumatizing. Backman doesn't pull his punches. You know something horrible is going to happen. There were times when I was reading that I would step away to do things and I would be sick to my stomach. It's brutal.
Not only is Backman a talented writer, he is phenomenal at character work and setting. All of the characters read like someone that could live down the street. I was in the run down, small, forest town the whole time. I wouldn't go so far as to recommend this to anyone unless they are looking for a horrific experience.

Speaking of Voya, I love her so much! Liselle Sambury takes the chosen one trope and throws it on its head with Voya. From the start, she doesn't want to do what's asked of her. So much of this story is a love letter to proving people wrong. Voya comes into herself so beautifully in this first book, so I can't wait to see what the consequences are!
The romance between Voya and Luc is the perfect addition to the already high stakes. Was nobody going to tell me Luc is a trans boy love interest!! Safe to say, I was very pleasantly surprised when I found out. Their romance is sickeningly sweet in the best way!

Fate is the (red) string that ties the whole thing together. Rooney and Jack are opposites, but LKJ utilizes that fact to force Rooney and Jack to communicate! It's just delightful! Also, can we talk about how perfectly the slowburn was done in RST because I was giggling, kicking my feet at the smallest interactions.
A phenomenal follow up to Lunar Love! Perfect for anyone looking for a low/no heat romance with great Asian American representation and discussions on fate.

Sydney is the perfect example of someone working themselves to burnout (millennials + gen z I see you). She's doing everything to make sure all the boys in the System are on their best behavior or at least that their worst behavior is covered up. She's got her work cut out for her. I really like the balance of her type a personality with Parker's go with the flow lifestyle.
The romance was sweet and spicy (of course!). Parker was definitely throwing that Amex card around to get everything he thought Sydney needed. She finally has someone close to take care of her! A bit of forced proximity and opposites attract with the tiniest hint of second chance.

Isabel and Sirius really did something to my fragile little heart. There's plenty of spy antics and not-so-harrowing escapes, but the soft moments between Isabel and Sirius are the star of the show in my opinion. I'm a sucker for a reformed rake and Sirius is definitely one of my favorites of all time. He's just so swoony.
It's literally impossible not to root for Isabel. I walked away from this with a much deeper appreciation for sisterhood. Isabel and her sisters are the most realistic siblings I've read in a while. I'm begging everyone to pick up this series of interconnected historical romances!
