Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. But, there were some times that I really had to force myself to read it. I definitely had trouble getting into it at first. It was recommended by a friend, and not something I think I would typically have picked off a shelf. Once I started getting more into the characters, particularly Hayduke, I was a lot more excited to read it.

It made me curious about geodesic dome homes and the Glen Canyon Dam, and definitely encouraged some wikipedia time. I feel like I actually learned some interesting stuff from this book, unlike a lot of fiction. It was also cool to read about the state I live in (Utah) and got me longing for a desert trip.

Overall an enjoyable read.

I haven't read any books like this before- noir mystery books, I guess. While I was reading this I felt like I could picture it as an old movie. It was a fun and easy read, with interesting characters and a good ending.

I LOVE this book! Probably the least weird Vonnegut I've read so far. I liked the story- delving into the mind of someone too good at propaganda, knowing how much harm he has done and keeping it a secret that he was actually doing good. He is known as a Nazi, but is he really a Nazi? Do his "crimes" define who he is? The moral of the story: "We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be."

Everytime I read a new (to me) Vonnegut book I claim it is my favorite. But really, I enjoyed this book a lot.

This book was a welcome break from my usual reading! It was lighthearted and funny. An easy, quick, enjoyable read!

I enjoyed this book. It was pretty easy to read and I liked the story. However, I didn't like the main character, Joan. She was very boring to me. I think this book was really well written. I only gave it three stars because I didn't find it moving in any way, and I didn't learn anything or change my perspective based on this book. It was simply a nice read. I do think the ending was abrupt, but I still liked it.
