This has been on my tbr for awhile. I’m pretty sure I actually started reading it at some point… but it was okay… I guess I can watch the series on Apple TV now.
It’s been almost a month and I’m only at 20%. Taking a break to read something else and maybe come back to it.

The second in the series. It’s still just an okay read. I only resonated with it because the crown act was brought up which I feel deeply about as a black woman who has struggled with her own hair identity. Otherwise it was rather predictable.

Picked this one up purely on a whim after seeing it everywhere on social media the last few months. Did not disappoint. What I thought was going to be obvious, wasn’t. Hooked from the jump. Recommend.

Really enjoyed this book! I thought it was going to kind of fall apart at the end but it held strong. Recommend.

This is a mother’s story. It is unimaginable going through what this author has gone through and will continue to go through with her son.
It’s amazing how regardless of where in the world you are mental health concerns seem to always take the backseat to physical health concerns. They’re both equally as important.

I finally picked this one up after watching the show on Hulu and wanting to know what happened next. And the book did not really deliver the ending I was hoping or looking for. It just kind of stopped I felt like.

I really enjoyed hearing their story from his mouth. You have to go into this one with an open mind. If you already have your mind made up about Harry and Meghan - do not bother. You'll probably hate it.

What I liked about it is that it is a black story, by a black author, and it was not stereotypical in regards to the way the characters behaved and spoke. It was not over the top with black culture references. It is definitely a book a non-black person could pick up and understand. In general, I felt that it just dragged; there were a lot of different story lines which I felt almost overshadowed the main character's story.
