A typical self-help book, with common themes but with Kevin Hart flare. Funny, insightful.

NEW. WORD. ALERT.

* ARC received in exchange for an honest review * It is hard to believe this is a debut novel for this author. It read and flowed so well. I loved Angela's bravery and independence; I feel like I do not see that enough in books and it needs to be. And I am pretty sure whenever I hear or see a group of motorcycles I will always think of Coty, Marc, and Becks.

The only reason this review lost a star for me is purely personal. It is a romance which is not my thing and I really have to be in the mood to read one. With that said, if anyone ever comes to me looking for a romance recommendation I will be recommending Detour.

As a parent, premise was good. Really good. But kind of fell apart and didn’t make much sense at the end. Makes me want to stay off social media even more though.

The Book of M

Peng Shepherd

DID NOT FINISH

Started off good, so good. Bird Box vibes. But about half way through it got so far off course I had no idea what was going on anymore. I’m still curious if Ory and Max ever found each other. And why people were losing their shadows... feel free to just tell me.
