Not sure how this is perceived as a thriller. Suspenseful at time, yes, but most of the book had a Jordan Peele “Get Out” feel.
Started off strong then kind of fizzled. I was interested enough to find out what actually happened but by the time I did I was kind of over it.
If you watched the documentary on R Kelly you’ll know 90% of this story. Even though the author says it’s not about R Kelly... the similarities are so close how could it not be. Overall the story that is told is a good one about abuse of power. And how women, especially black women, are never believed.
