Surprisingly good book! It was hard to start due to all the "men are like God" complex that is present in Saudi Arabia but once I got the first half of the book it was good. Still hard to believe it was a true story and women are really treated that way in other parts of the world. Sad, but touching.
Waaaack! Predictable! Twilight was much better... it at least left me wanting to read the next one. It did eventually get interesting but it was in the last 20-30 pages or so but up until then it was the main character playing an over dramatic teenage fledging.
I have no intention on reading the next one. Especially since there are like seven books, what could you whine about for seven books. I already survived my teens, I don't feel like re-living it. I'm glad I only paid $3 for this book.

What a great book! I couldn't put it down. It reminded me very much of THE NOTEBOOK with the old man re-telling his story. It had a little bit of everything - suspense, romance and scandal, haha. The movie is going to be great!
It wasn't what I thought. I'm not sure what I expected it to be but I know I definitely wasn't expecting a self-help kind of book.
I did get some of HER story which was what I was expecting; where she came from and how she got where she is. The book also reinforced beliefs I already had... "everything happens for a reason", and "everyones 'normal' is different and most likely clashes with your idea of 'normal'" It also solidified that sometimes you have to let people go that did not bring positive to your life.
The not so great parts... the annoying way she repeated every point she was trying to get through in each chapter. Literally and please don't ask how many times she said in so many different ways "this is how you get to a place of yes..." "this is a place of yes..." Like I get it. Her points were all valid and well and good but not everyone gets everything they want. Not every one gets a happily ever after, it's a fact. Not everyone is born with at least half a silver spoon in their mouth... People make mistakes and life happens. And mistakes most of the time is what makes your life, yours. Hard work can only get you so far.

Easy, easy read (it's only about 100 pages!). It's pretty sad most of the book but the ending is sweet and makes you think about life and death.
