It wasn't what I thought. I'm not sure what I expected it to be but I know I definitely wasn't expecting a self-help kind of book.

I did get some of HER story which was what I was expecting; where she came from and how she got where she is. The book also reinforced beliefs I already had... "everything happens for a reason", and "everyones 'normal' is different and most likely clashes with your idea of 'normal'" It also solidified that sometimes you have to let people go that did not bring positive to your life.

The not so great parts... the annoying way she repeated every point she was trying to get through in each chapter. Literally and please don't ask how many times she said in so many different ways "this is how you get to a place of yes..." "this is a place of yes..." Like I get it. Her points were all valid and well and good but not everyone gets everything they want. Not every one gets a happily ever after, it's a fact. Not everyone is born with at least half a silver spoon in their mouth... People make mistakes and life happens. And mistakes most of the time is what makes your life, yours. Hard work can only get you so far.
