The premise was really fascinating, loved the magic system and spirits, but this was so painful to read because of how women were written. I struggled so much because every thought the MC had about any of the women in the story was so gross and they were basically just bodies for him. I really wanted to like this more, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to continue with the series.

I really loved the premise and the world in this book, but it was difficult to read. The pacing was all over the place and the jump into different events and the wrapping up of events seemed really sudden and not quite completed. There were times when the characters would say things that left me confused on how they got to that conclusion because it wasn’t obvious with the disjointed narrative at points. Overall a lovely book though and I’m excited for the sequel! 

This is one of the best books I’ve read this year and it hit me so hard, I wish I could give it more than five stars 

This would have been so cool to see as the episodes it was meant to be!!

I had much higher hopes for this but it was only meh. It found its stride in the last quarter of the book, but the first three quarters were not great. Did not care for the mace slander nor the portrayal of the clones. Also did not like the attempts to be like the Revenge of the Sith novelization, most of those moments fell flat. I enjoyed the

parallel between Ruug and Ketar with Obi-wan and Anakin n their journeys to how to deal with an apprentice that takes it too far
