I got this book as an ARC and was incredibly excited to read it as the synopsis sounded brilliant, I was especially looking forward to the philosophy. This book is unfortunately written in a style that feels as though it’s meant for middle-graders. I generally enjoy middle grade fiction but for a book that is meant to be an adult book (I believe), it makes it very difficult to read. It also felt more tell than show, I wish there was more description. Thank you to the author and publisher for the ARC.

I know this is high acclaimed but I found the story so boring and not engaging at all. I usually would consider picking up again but I don’t think I will with this. Also just too many men

I need a physical copy instead of ebook. Will pick back up once I get my hands on an actual book

The story just moves without giving very much setting, so it feels rushed. Maybe will pick up some other time but it was missing a lot of detail in the first part to make it worth keeping on to read. Was more tell than show.

Will come back to it next year, not vibing atm
