Incredible. So good, so frustrating tho, and i cried. So 5 stars. My fav one so far, by far
"Tip for the day: never eat a bible when you're starving to death"

So so fun! Super enjoyable and gave like harry potter vibes which i loved :)) legit havent seen this talked about anywhere so thanks Han for the recommendation xx
Meh, kinda cringey, the ending was nice, but the rest of it was kinda boring. I'm really not a romance girly
"All animals are equal
But some animals are more equal than others"
"Several of them would have protested if they could have found the right arguments"
Pretty hard hitting and and interesting concept. Bleak distopias is what Orwell does best

In shock, what was that ending omg
Super duper out of nowhere, i had such a long list of suspects but *they* were nowhere close to being on it. Wild.
Defs a slow burn/quick wrap up, but i didnt mind too much. Many a red herring in this one!
Lots of discource on love and grief, really enjoyable quotes too. Also lived the hints to The Silent Patient, going to have to read that one now!
"She was still in love and didn’t know what to do with all this love of hers. There was so much of it, and it was so messy: leaking, spilling, tumbling out of her, like stuffing falling out of an old rag doll that was coming apart at the seams."
"Reading about life was no preparation for living it"
"As far as I can see, love only brings sorrow."
"If you’re not aware of the transcendent, if you’re not awake to the glorious mystery of life and death that you’re lucky enough to be part of—if that doesn’t fill you with joy and strike you with awe … you might as well not be alive."

defs cute! Much more emotional at the end than I expected, which I quite liked. Main character was slighty insufferable at times, classic. The end romance felt a little rushed and unresolved, and the wrong person **wrong brother! in my opinion, but it's the first of the trilogy so fair enough. Liked this more than I thought I would, a good one to read going into summer :))
Jesus. This was a masterpiece, and I hated every second of it. Completely upsetting, disturbing, and horrific, to the point where I felt physically ill at points, but something a wont forget anytime soon.
I will be very careful to whom I recommend this one.
The quotes could go on and on, but here are some favourites:
“People will risk everything for a little bit of something beautiful.”
“The excuses we make for them are outrageous, but they’re nothing compared with the ones we make for ourselves.”
“He’s the only person who ever understood that desire. Not to die, but to already be dead.”
“To be groomed is to be loved and handled like a precious, delicate thing”
" “I just really need it to be a love story, you know? I really, really need it to be that.”
