The story of a group of friends reunited after 5 years. Hoping for a peaceful homecoming and reunion they are shocked to find trouble literally on their doorstep. Enter some entrancing new friends to add plenty of extra story and a crazy magician to liven things up. Throw a few dragons, and plenty of icky baddies into the mix for an epic tale of good vs evil, where the difference isn't always so easy to see.

The characters all take turns being your favorite, they are not just fictional names, they are brought to life in full color. The good, the bad, and the parts we just aren't sure about yet. They interact with each other and people outside the group in ways that only enhance their personalities. Characters are dynamic, and constantly changing, but doing it slowly enough that the reader is able to follow and understand every new trait that emerges. Even the dragons, while each is only shown for a short period of time, scream into the story larger than life (which they should be).

This is a series I come back to every couple years and each time I read it I find myself locked to the pages in suspense, devouring words to see what is going to happen next.

This is a must read for any fan of high fantasy and epic tales.

In the second book of the DragonLance Chronicles, the companions continue on their mission to find out what has brought the evil dragons back, and try to bring the world's races together. This is proving harder than anticipated because of centuries old prejudices and hatreds that have festered causing rifts in any defenses that may have been put together.

As the evil dragon army advances across the face of Krynn, the companions are forced to split up. The author does a very good job of staying with both groups without splitting the story too much. Unusual heroes emerge making and acting on hard decisions that many would never be able to make. The companions continue to grow and develop in unique and often fascinating ways.

We are left with quite a cliff hanger that drives the reader into the next book as if this one had never ended

Somehow this series keeps me just interested enough to want to keep going. This book ties up several loose ends that are left gaping in the first and second book. It also forces Bella to make the hard decision between Jake and Edward. The author's style of writing is either getting significantly better, or I'm just getting more used to reading it. The story flow much nicer than it did before.

I great fast paced story that was hard to put down once it got going. A nice mix of characters that were easy to relate to.

A fantastic second book in The Troy Game series. All the players are re-born in the mid 1000's in England - and they all have an agenda, especially Asterion. As characters develop and evolve we get to see how not even a soul must always remain the same. While some make the decision to stay the same, many others make the decision to grow beyond their previous life's hatreds and desires and move forward towards a greater goal. With quite a surprise at the conclusion that left me shocked and hardly able to wait to pick up book 3.

Brand is an amazing character - he mixed just enough of the broody werewolf with the protecting and honorable hero to make him deep enough to really really like. The relationship he has with the other shapeshifters is quite an interesting one. As the one meant to rule them all, they should honor him, but since he threw it all away and lives without a pack of his own, they all look down on him at the same time. This causes him to become the target of a female wolf from his past who is just a bit psychotic and crazy.

When her plots place his best friend and new love of his life deep into danger, Brand grabs control of the broods to save their lives. Quite adventurous for a paranormal romance, it was very hard to put down and had me rooting for all the good guys in just the right places.

The blurb for this book caught my eye and I just had to check it out (especially since I work in accounting and love romance) even though it's not paranormal. I have to say that it was one of the most entertaining reads I've had in a very long time. Rena is a spunky and fun young woman that gets the crazy idea to join a romance writing club and gets so much more than she ever expected. Surrounded by the most unique combination of characters I have ever seen, she initially feels quite out of place. But then a famous best-selling romance author walks in the door, and her life is forever changed.

With her plot idea stolen, Rena and the writing group come up with a crazy idea to show that author just what's up and get back with her for a lifetime of wrongs. Along the way we also get tossed a hunky cop that seems to enjoy Rena in handcuffs a little too much, and she doesn't mind at all.

Not a lot of hot and steamy sex scenes, but there are a few conversations about some sort of weird stuff (in my opinion), but being weird is why it was put there. A fantastic read that is humorous, touching, and even a bit exciting, it was a perfect light-hearted read.

In the third book of The Troy Game, we once again see all the old players, plus a few new ones that got caught in the game during book two. Cornelia and Genvissa make quite an astonishing discovery about themselves and their history, as do Brutus and Coel. The Troy Game itself even plays a new bigger role in all that happens.

A great addition to the story, it propels the characters forward in a journey with an as yet unclear ending.

The Rose Trilogy part of The Masters of Time has been a fantastic addition to the series so far. It's great to have characters flow from one book to the other in such a cohesive way. Tabby has been my favorite so far - and her story with Guy is almost beyond romantic. They connect on such a deep level in a way that no one really thought was possible.

Guy is fighting the demons of his childhood - a murdered family that he feels that he is honor bound to avenge over the ages. Back in Manhattan, Tabby is being attacked by an evil that has hunted her through the ages. They have to find a way to help each other before they are both lost forever.

As part of their struggle we get to see a little more into the background of the ancient brotherhood that all the Masters are a part of and how they work internally - it was quite a nice addition to an already great book. My one and only small complaint was that a couple of the rules seemed to have been bent for the two main characters to help them along the way - but I'm sure it was just the gods throwing them a life line here and there.

I loved loved loved Libby. She was sassy with an attitude, tough enough to hold her own in a verbal sparring, and inventive with solutions to her nasty problems. Kale made me mad - but I think he was supposed to. Hard to warm up to a guy that doesn't tell you who he really is or what he's really doing - but man was he sexy. The two are thrown together to investigate a series of ritual cat slayings and find themselves neck deep in a rebellion against everything they stand for. Libby will need to get over her distrust of Kale and try to work with him (and not just stare at his ass).

A nicer thrill/mystery that threw me off the track enough to keep it very interesting with a surprising twist at the end for both Libby and even Kale (who thought he was prepared for everything). I had a hard time putting it down, I just wish Kale had been a tiny bit more likable from the get go.
