The Cat's Meow
by Stacey Kennedy
I loved loved loved Libby. She was sassy with an attitude, tough enough to hold her own in a verbal sparring, and inventive with solutions to her nasty problems. Kale made me mad - but I think he was supposed to. Hard to warm up to a guy that doesn't tell you who he really is or what he's really doing - but man was he sexy. The two are thrown together to investigate a series of ritual cat slayings and find themselves neck deep in a rebellion against everything they stand for. Libby will need to get over her distrust of Kale and try to work with him (and not just stare at his ass).
A nicer thrill/mystery that threw me off the track enough to keep it very interesting with a surprising twist at the end for both Libby and even Kale (who thought he was prepared for everything). I had a hard time putting it down, I just wish Kale had been a tiny bit more likable from the get go.
