Tessa doesn't know what to think of herself. She's not quite human (coming from a family of vampires), but she's not quite vampire (no special abilities). She is caught stradling both worlds until one day her boyfriend disappears from a movie theater. She swears that a vampire is behind it. But hunting humans is banned. Her vampire family and friends are drawn into a mystery to find out who is behind all the missing humans, and their hunt leads them someplace very dangerous. Tessa is forced to come to terms with both sides of herself and find a way to save the people she cares about.
