This was a very interesting book. It's a book about finding that one place that is just so special, that everything seems to get better just by being there. And taking that specialness of that place and making it a part of who you are, so that you can live and be better long after leaving. It was one of those books that's just a story - about four women and their trip to Italy. But by the end of the book, you realize that it was about so much more than just that.

The descriptions of the flowers and the scenery just blew me away completely. I swear that I could smell the sometimes. I love how all four lives were changed, the author doesn't leave anyone out. You just have to wait for the magic to settle in a bit longer on some of them.

This was such an emotional book. It will take you so very high and you will also hit close to rock bottom. Abby was just such an amazing character, that I'm not even sure where to start. As a girl who has not really experienced life, we actually get to watch her go through all the big moments on the course of her road trip. I had soooo many questions as I got to know her - primarily "what was in the dang urn!!!!!" She was just so full of life that you almost forgot why she was on the road trip to begin with. And then you go down - down - down - as disaster hits her life and she falls apart. I wanted to go give her a big hug and let her cry on my shoulder. Yes, I loved this character that much!

Beck was also something special. Can I have him please? I promise to take excellent care of him. I love how he just stepped in and accepted Abby and all her quirks without batting an eyelash. He wasn't perfect - but just close enough that you don't mind his little mistakes.

Their road trip was everything the metaphor should be. They traveled down emotional paths that were new and tackled the problems that came about together so they could both reach the next destination. This is everything a New Adult romance is supposed to be.

I love Marie Force's characters - every single one of them. At first the story of the maid and the rich young man falling in love may sound a little cliche, but Force brings a great added story line in Maddie Chester's past. She's had a very rough life, and a small portion of the reason why lies with part of his family. She has some serious trust issues and struggles a lot with making ends meet. One of the shining joys in her life (and in the book) is her son. He really lights up every scene with his baby antics and smiling face.

Mac runs into Maddie (literally) quite by accident and he can't get her out of his mind. She's not like any woman he's met - the kind that are usually after his money. If anything, Maddie wants nothing to do with him because of his money. Mac makes a few mistakes - but with very good intentions - and things start to go wrong. His family isn't all too keen on him dating Maddie because of the rumors about how she lives either.

What really hits you the most in this book, and in all the other Marie Force I have read, are the relationships. Not just between our main characters, but the delicate web she manages to weave between everyone in the stories. They are each connected in some way, and on a small island town, those lines can get complicated but fun.

Just couldn't finish this one. I think I just tried to read it too soon after reading the original.

Running over the love of your life is never a good idea. When Luke quite literally runs into Kara - he's forced to take drastic action to save her life. Of course, since he's been in love with her for as long as he can remember, his wolf is quite pleased at the change of events. But Kara (while glad to be alive) isn't so sure she wants to link her life to his forever.

I really liked how Krystal Shannan worked with Kara's emotions. She was traumatized and betrayed - so of course she doesn't want anything to do with anyone!!! Who would?? I really loved cheering Luke on as he tried to find a way to prove himself to her and show her that he is the perfect man for her.

I also liked that there wasn't a whole lot of "other stuff" going on. We had no ultimate bad guy set out to kill anyone - we had a jerky ex-boyfriend, but I think every girl has one of those. It was all about Luke and Kara - and I totally loved it!

What I loved most about this book was Noah and his total devotion to keeping an innocent woman safe. Even though she discovers his secret when she watches him shift, he will do anything to protect her. And she has a lot to be protected from right now.

Emma can take pretty good care of herself - she has a purse that holds all - and some of that "all" is very deadly. I love that she can take care of herself and her loyalty to those that have treated her well in the past. There was a TON of excitement in this story - much more suspenseful than the first. This was a great change of pace, especially since I read them back to back, but it did take a little from the romance.

I really wish there had been just a tad more of them getting to know each other and falling in love. It all happened so very suddenly at times. However, the ending....OMG the ending!!!! I don't know that it could have been done any better. I fell in love with both of them all over again.

We have to wait 70 or so pages to really meet the couple and I'm still a little confused as to what is going on. The language is a bit flowery and over descriptive for my taste. I just can't seem to get into it all.

The power of the elf stones is still kicking. This time, generations later, it has bestowed the gifts of elf magic on the Shannara descendants. And of course they are once again called on by Allanon (I thought he was long gone) to help save the world from dark magic. This time, they aren't all so eager to jump into the quest.

I love that they have doubts and worry if they are doing the right thing. While they split into three main groups and we only truly see the details of Par and his brother's search for the mythical Sword of Shannara. It was quite an adventure and Terry Brooks has really grown as a write between the original Shannara series and this one. Things are a little less predictable and there are some truly exciting scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat.

But Par's story isn't quite over, the world is not saved by the end of the book. It will continue to be at risk until all three groups have completed their quests (the next two books I'm assuming). I am really looking forward to them.

I read this book while interning at Leap Books.

This was a great historical fiction for upper middle graders. There is a lot of history and much of it touches the underground railroad. Much of the story revolves around the family dynamics and how to work things out. With an abusive step-dad that lashes out in anger, there are some very serious moments in this story. It contains many lessons on how to deal forgive and help people (and yourself) be accountable for your actions.

This one is going to stick with you awhile once you're finished. Even a month later something about the story will click into place in my mind and I'll have to go re-visit the story again.

This was an odd one for me. I never really understood just what the accident season was, or I should say, what caused it. It seemed like it was something that had been around forever, but then at the end maybe it hadn't been? What I thought was paranormal was actually more psychological, which I'm totally OK with, but it really confused me at first.

The imagery in this book was amazing. You really see all the characters and creatures come to life. The abandoned house is especially beautiful in its own way.

In the end we deal with some fairly heavy issues and the fallout they can cause, both mentally and physically.
