I don’t know if it’s that this book was better than the first two or that I’m just really enjoying the story, characters, and timing for the book. Either way I’m excited but sad there’s just one more book left in the series! 

I think this was a good end to the series. I was a bit disappointed by the heroine in this book though. Whereas the others are some how politically significant to the larger conflict and active, it felt kind of bleh to end with a heroine that did essentially nothing. It was hard to make her memorable or feel special when it seems like her whole personality is some combination of ‘not like other girls,’ ‘free spirited,’ and young or innocent. I think Kipp and Lilah were easily my least favorite couple in the series. 

I’m not sure what it was about this book but it just felt all over the place. I’m also starting to feel like I’m not a fan of the epilogues also being cliffhangers. But I’m still pretty intent on reading the Grant series after. I wish I had realized that so many of the characters/memories feel like references to a different series. 

I think this could be one of my favorite romances. I loved a couple that doesn’t fall into the typical pattern or timeline and even with this book fading to black I wasn’t disappointed. It all came together perfectly! 

Highlands and healers? Sold. Also this is giving the vibe of a series where there’s a big close knit family or this is a spin off to a series like that and I am here for it. Can’t wait to read them all! 

So far, I really like the balance between romance and plot in this series and the way each one has expanded on the larger conflict while still creating and wrapping up a cute romance. Can’t wait to read more! 

While short, this reads as a very vulnerable sharing of grief and what that journey can and often does look like for many of us. The timing being during Covid adds another layer that many are struggling with but may not have been explored in writing so much yet. 

This was exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump and I can’t wait to get into the rest of the series. Part romance but also political plot line that makes the series more adventurous. 

This was fun and I love Xeni and Mason. They seemed really sweet together. I really loved the way they became each other's person so effortlessly. And Mason is so cute! The way he was so excited for Xeni to be his wife. Absolutely precious! 

This book was on the shorter side of what I normally read but i think it still managed to tell a fun story, and make me fall in love with the characters. I only wish the editing was a bit better. I noticed a handful of typos or sentences that were awkward. Normally I’m not bothered by one or two but I figure if I noticed someone who is more bothered definitely will.
