I wanted to love this book but I just liked it. Maybe it just didn’t mesh with my current mood. The characters are really well written though!

This was a quick novella and it takes place as if in the middle of the clan grant series. I love all the characters but I don’t know how I feel about the ‘angels’ story in this novella. I can’t say that I was a fan of it.

Amazing collection of poems. This has been on my list for a while but I didn’t quite understand the significance of lithium until I finally picked it up and started to read. There are parts of this collection that will forever stay with me.

I really enjoy collections by Ada Limon. While this wasn’t my favorite collection I think that has more to do with my being in a reading slump than anything else. I still really enjoyed this collection compared to most collections of poetry.

I love Avelina and Drew.  Both have obstacles and personal battles to overcome and I think in a way they both have their own journeys in this story but find a way to fall and love and support each other along the way.  it was really sweet.  This was my second series by this author and I've found that both times by the last book in the series, certain paranormal elements get added and I'm not sure I'm really a fan of that since it doesn't really come up anywhere else in the series.

I love that the last book gave us a glimpse of the last two couples, the youngest of the Grant and Ramsay siblings.  While the romance was great, the relationship between Alex and Jennie also turned me into a puddle.  This series consistently has strong female leads, but in a way that's nuanced and doesn't rely on "not like other girls" to make them stand out, and I really love that.  Also the men turning into ride or dies for their women brings me so much joy.

This was a really cute story!  I loved that Diana decided to take finding a husband into her own hands.  I love that Micheil was helping her.  I also loved the role of Aunt Elspeth in protecting Diana and being a mom figure for a young girl who is clearly missing hers.  Also the plot twist!  Didn't see that coming.  Wild actually.  I also would really like the King's love story.  He's a frequent enough character that I want to see him also have a wife.

I LOVE Gwyneth and Logan!  There were a lot of dark themes in this book, but I like that it overlaps with the previous book and fills in some gaps.  I love the chemistry between the two, but I especially love that Gwyneth is a strong female lead.  I love that Logan supports her and isn't intimidated or threatened by her strength and instead respects the boundaries she draws.

I really liked Robbie and Caralyn.  I also love how the families in this series aren't always typical.  I don't think I've ever read a highland romance with a single mom.  I also was not expecting the book to discuss sex work.  I like that this book centers around the same war/battle as the last book but focuses on what a different brother, Robbie, was doing.

I really liked Brodie and Celestina.  I was interested in how this was all going to play out.  While a lot of books in this genre tend to have some type of mystery element, the plot of this book had more of a political element with a looming war.  It was interesting!  I'm also excited for the coming books since the families/friends in the series all seem wonderful.
