So many of these books are blending together in hindsight but that's what I get for reading them all together, in a row, and writing the review like a month later.  But Molly is the adopted daughter of Logan and Gwenyth who are also favorites from the Clan Grant series and probably some of the most recurring characters in every book after.  Molly is dealing with low self esteem and the rejection of her birth parents and still trying to prove her self as worthy to her adoptive parents after all these years.  Tormod is in love with Molly but also intimidated by her dad who is supposed to be super well respected and powerful.  Overall a fun read.

I love Ashlyn and Magnus.  They're both so wonderful, and this felt like a relationship between two sensible adults.  I remember Ashlyn from the Clan Grant series so I expected her past trauma to definitely come up.  And I love that it drove her to help other women.  Ashlyn is such a fighter and Magnus supporting her throughout it all was so sweet.  His own past was something that was dealt with really well.  Overall probably one of my favorites in this series.

Alex is a beloved character obviously, so getting a story about his son, who has a huge reputation to follow felt like a natural storyline.  I think the moments where Jake turns to Alex for advice were really sweet.  And of course the characters from the last series making an appearance is always fun.  Definitely heartbroken about Aline's story so maybe skip this one if abuse against women is triggering for you.  Excited to read about Jamie since they seemed to be painted as sort of opposites.

I liked Kyle and probably tolerated Lily at best.  It seems like her being fragile and sick as a child has led to her just being pampered and spoiled for forever.  And now that she's not the center of attention because her brother has gotten married, she's throwing a fit kind of.  And yet I will continue to devour this whole series.

I think I struggled to get into this collection of poems at first, but there were some that I thought were really beautiful.

There were times where I liked the characters but overall I just couldn’t get into it. I just have zero motivation or desire to pick it up again.

I know this is like 30 pages and I should have just lowered through but both the mother and daughter were annoying and I couldn’t do it.

I really enjoyed the plot line of this book. I think there was more plot than romance in this particular book but I didn’t mind it at all. It was really nice to see beloved characters come together to support one of their own get out of a forced marriage/political manipulation type situation.

I don’t usually like books where the couple starts off in love but this one worked for me! It might have been because I already love Loki from the previous series and my heart was super invested in his story.

I don’t think I had a peaceful moment reading this book. It’s beautifully written but god did it make my heart ache. I kept anxiously waiting for things to get worse and worse.
