So it took about half way through this book before I realized that this Ewan is the Ewan in the Clan Ross of Hebrides series.  I figured the two were connected but having read the other series first I'm not sure why it took me so long to put it together.  Ewan and Catriona are so sweet together.  Catriona is strong, and Ewan is patient.  Overall I really enjoyed this series!  And having already read the other Clan Ross series this is a good place to wrap up one and start to introduce the other.  Content warnings for references to past torture, rape, and cheating.

This was a really short quick read. Even as far as novellas go, 40 pages is really short and personally not enough time for me to get invested in the characters, especially since Naill isn't someone you get to know throughout the series, and you never see his wife except for in the novella. Maybe if they had been more present in the main series I would have cared more. 

Meh.  I feel like the premise of this series that I was so excited about didn't really deliver.  I'm not usually looking for a lot in highland romance.  But I would say of the various series I've read this series as a whole is one of my least favorites.  This couple like the others were okay at best, and if I had been in a more irritable mood I probably wouldn't have liked them at all.

This was basically like nanny romance in the highlands except she's not the nanny, she's who his kid ended up with when he was kidnapped two years ago.  The vibes were working for me.  Gavin is a daddy AND a father.  I'm here for it.  Overall enjoyable read.

Honestly and truly, sometimes I just need a highland romance for the dopamine and this fulfilled that requirement.  Not the greatest, but it did the job I was asking it to do.

This can be read in one sitting.  It's a really incredible read.  I highly recommend it, especially for men.

I liked this book much better than the first in the series.  Probably because Amber is a much better heroine, and also I love stories about healers.  She's got a lot on her plate, practically sticking up for everyone in the clan.  Lachlan is cool too.  Overall Enjoyable read.

I like the premise of this series, but I wouldn't say this was my favorite.  Overly innocent heroines are not my thing.  Especially when the way their "innocence" is portrayed is through moments where everyone but them seems to be in on the joke.  It's cringe and the second hand embarrassment is too much after a while.  I'm excited for the rest of the series though.

Love a forbidden romance.  Kind of sad that Ruari wasn't somehow included in one of the other series.   It makes it feel like he's somehow disconnected from the Grant/Ramsay families, which otherwise seem to be so close.  It also makes it all the more sad that he feels like he doesn't have a place in his clan.  Overall a fun quick read and honestly kind of refreshing after the last few series.

A quick read, and I kind of love that all the series tend to end with a christmas novella.  What I'm not a fan of is the story where an orphan thinks they aren't worthy.  It's okay sometimes but I feel like I've read it a handful of times throughout the Grant family series which is odd considering Loki is an orphan and he's one of the most beloved and respected characters.  So how does this keep being a point of tension?
