This is a sweet novella and prequel to the Clan Sinclair series. Liam is portrayed as this sweet, caring father throughout the series, so it was fun to see him tongued tied and messing up as a young man. it was also nice to see Kyla, as she's mentioned quite a bit in the rest of the series. Excited to dive into the Clan Sinclair Legacy series next.

While I’ve really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to read the prequel and spin off series, Tavish and Ceit might be my least favorite couple so far. There were times where the story seemed to drag a bit or get a little repetitive, and somehow at the same time none of the problems felt like they were ever really the focus. My biggest pet peeve was the choice of nickname. That Ceit suddenly started referring to Tavish by a completely different name was so annoying, I don’t know why that was the choice but it drove me insane.

I don’t often read childhood sweethearts type romances but I was so invested in this. Definitely check content warnings though, there were some very dark moments in the story. The only downside to this story is that the rest of the Sinclair family was barely present for any of it which was a bit of a bummer. I’m hoping the next book isn’t like that but I think it might be too.
Graphic: Miscarriage, Abortion
Moderate: Sexual assault, Sexual harassment
While there isn’t technically an abortion the FMC is forced to get an abortion by being forced to drink an herbal mixture, when her parents think she could potentially be pregnant. It’s a very scary time for the FMC and the scene could be triggering for some folks.

I was so excited for Alex’s story and I love him. Bridghe was kind of annoying. Sometimes the way she just would not listen or accept what Alex was saying was too much and I was over it. But overall I’m really enjoying the series and loving the Sinclairs.

While I can’t say I enjoyed this book as much as the first, it was still enjoyable. I wish the building of trust between Suisan and Callum had built more reasonably. There were times where it felt odd for Suisan to choose Callum. Im also really excited for Alex’s story next but I’m not sure how I feel about how much his story was hinted at in this one. One other thing to note, is while there isn’t rape in either of the first two books in this series there is frequently sexual assault.
Moderate: Sexual assault, Kidnapping, Sexual harassment
There is also an instance that some people might consider cheating.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the rest in the series! I’ve seen a lot of books by this author pop up and I decided to start at the beginning with the various series and I’m impressed with the first romance the author has written and hopefully it continues to get better from here!
Moderate: Sexual assault, Sexual harassment
While there isn’t a detailed description of rape in this book, it’s often that the FMC is assaulted or in one instance fighting off an attack.

Absolutely stunning prose. The first I’ve read from this author and excited to explore all of their other works.

Ugh. I really thought the books in this series were getting better with each one after the first was a rocky start but this last book was so disappointing. It had so much potential with the fake betrothal, but so many weird and just bad choices were made. Certain plot lines just seemed to get forgotten, the ending was rushed, the character development from previous books just seemed like it never happened and even the language choices were suddenly different. I just got more and more frustrated as the book went on.

This might be my favorite book in the series so far. Which I was not anticipating because I thought Freya and Darragh would be my favorite. But Willow and Scott are so absolutely wonderful. And in some ways this book felt like a slow burn. Each book in this series is better than the last and I’m looking forward to the final story!

This book was definitely better than the first in the series. I wonder if part of that is with this one being longer the characters felt better developed and the pacing of the plot line also felt right. I had a feeling I would like Freya more than Kate and I think overall I loved this couple more too. There were still some bits and scenes that were kind of cringe but this was an enjoyable read. The author definitely needs a better editor though.
