Emily mcintire can do no wrong in my eyes. I loved the story and getting to know the characters but as a not religious person I didn't personally enjoy the religious side of the book

The religious points aside I still really enjoyed the forbidden romance tale as well as the other dark plot points throughout the novel.

 The only thing I found a little implausible was Amayas mom becoming a nun. It seemed very out of character and perhaps could have been explained better. 

A beautiful conclusion to this current duology. 

I loved these characters in the first book and seeing how they developed throughout this book was so amazing

On top of the already great cast of characters we got a few incredible new ones as well. 

I love the dark and gritty nature of this book as you move through the undertones of morality and justifiable murders. 

I found the overall plot very fun and interesting to read. There was enough mystery and I was invested to the point of wanting to find out the ending. 
While I enjoyed some aspects of this book I don't think I was the target demographic. This book would be amazing for the 16 to 20 year old age range. There was also a few details that I think may not age well such as the Colleen Hoover reference and mentions of Tinder. 

Overall a great book that I may seek out the rest of the series out in the future to find out more about Charlie's past and for Ash and Becca antics. Also Clive has my whole heart ❤️ 

A beautiful look at memories, history, and intergenerational trauma. 

If you are looking to diversify your reading with a quick and moving read I highly suggest this novella

Joe Goldberg is at it again but in a new location. 

I enjoy this series and will continue reading it. While this book wasn't as dark or gory as the first two I still really enjoyed it. 

The ending is what brought it down for me as I felt it was a little too convenient in order for the series to continue. I will read the next book but slowly losing interest in this series. 

A fun look at the history of the materials that shaped our world. 

I liked that everything was broken down by chapter and built on past chapters. 

While this book has some good mystic and twists I just didn't find much enjoyment in reading it. 

I found the main character Hannah extremely repetitive. While I like being reminded of why the characters are following their current course of action I don't need to be reminded every chapter. 

I liked the flashbacks as they added alot of missing information into the main plot but alternately I really disliked the cliffhanger chapter endings. Once in a while is fine but not at every reveal and twist. 

A fun way to wrap up the series. Enjoyed reading it. 

A really fun shifter romance.  

I'm not a big fan of third act breakups but this one was worked in really well. 

A fun and spicy read. Would recommend as a palette cleanser
