Geez is it just me or are all the horseman fucked up? Even Death, the one we're rooting for.
SO death is on the hunt to find his son. He will do anything to do so and he visits a old friend. That old friend was...done wrong by the 4 horsemen, so it might not go as well for Death as he hoped. On the flipside we see more world building and how the other 3 are using their newly apointed public figure to basically calm the world before the end.
Really, this is getting insainly good. The political angle is awesome enough but having the story about a father wanting his son back is always interesting. On top of that we have the son's story which isn't what I expected and really good. The other 3 horsemen are pieces of shit but man oh man are they entertaining.
This series could be one of the best in the end for me. A 4.5 out of 5.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a huge Sci-fi person. Usually just not my genre.
However, Genu by Tommaso Todesca is a nice entry into the comic world. Without giving too much spoilers after setting up the world we live in, and the future of basically mankind, we're introduced to a shocking and disturbing twist of events that pushes the story into a different direction than I thought it would go. It finishes off with explaining some more of the technology and world and was intruging enough to want to keep going.
I think the art here is fantastic, with a lot of great horrific death scenes mixed with space shots I really enjoyed. The world building and actual plot are also strong here. I'd say the dialogue at times can be stiff but that would be the only major fault. While short this first part is enjoyable, excited to read more from this creator!

This series reminds me A LOT of bleach still, but so far early bleach, so that means good things.
This volume is split between our main hero and his two new buddies. While they train, pushed on by another rival team, he is also getting his training on. In fact he is partnered with a new, very strong Jujutsu sorcerers. But what really worked in this volume is the enemy is fun as hell and also the new "enemy" could be potentially really interesting. The art stays solid with some wicked fight scenes to boot. I'm not attached to any big characters yet, but I'm enjoying my time with Jujutsu. A 3.5 out of 5.

So what happens when two high school students can't be in a relationship with the people they are "in love" with? Oh well they use each other's bodies while making believe they are messing around with the actual people they like.
A super weird, semi-trashy, yet somehow entertaining slice of life manga. This is about a guy and a girl who are massively in love with two older people but both of those people seem to like each other. SO they settle with each other, kissing, feeling up, rubbing, you know all the good stuff. So with that they feel like they're getting SOMETHING even if it's not with the person they want.
Like I said, it is trashy. It's rated M for a reason. It's not overly sexual and I don't even remember seeing a nipple, but they do other stuff even over clothing that will make this for adults only. The story itself is kind of depressing in a way even when they have plenty of jokes. and somehow some of the jokes land, while others miss.
This isn't a great manga. But for 2$ it wasn't bad. A 3 out of 5.

Okay this volume is even better than the last.
This starts off with a bang as Chainsaw man goes head to head with the big bad from last volume. Gory would be the word but holy shit is it brutal fight. Then we get some amazing funny moments as we lead onto the next story act. When our main hero finally gets to touch some boobs he feels empty. his dreams weren't what he wanted. BUT when he touched the boobs of the woman he liked, everything changed. Now he must defeat the "Gun Devil" the one who caused so much chaos and destruction in the past.
This volume is simply a blast. We get some great character development moments for plenty of the characters, crazy fights, interesting designs, and a brutal ending to a lot of the demons here. Fujimoto is on a roll with this one and I can see this becoming a smash hit in the end.

This is the big battle between Ichigo and Kenpachi. Both hard headed, both strong, but who will come out on top?
This is a vicious, yet really fun fight. We get to see more of how their swords work, especially ichigo. I also enjoy this chapter because Kenpachi sidekick is freaking adorable. The art is solid throughout with some great memorable moments.
The stuff with Rukia starts to boil up and ends on a great cliffhanger.
Bleach is in its prime now.

Teen Titans, Vol. 3: Beast Boys and Girls
Ben Raab, Justiniano, Lary Stucker, Geoff Johns, Chris Ivy, Tom Grummett
Oof the first half of this book is terrible. It's basically a Garr story but he's pretty much the lamest titan. His Hollywood story is boring and cliche and even nightwing couldn't help it.
Luckily the second half is decent. Story of garr again, which is still boring, but we get alot of cool moments with Tim and Connor, raven and the girls, and Cassie. That saved it from being a total bomb of a volume.
A 2.5 out of 5.

So the ending to the last arc wraps up with actually a pretty great Naruto and Garaa moment. I also really enjoyed the new member of the group as he's a super dick and makes for some really funny moments. The rest is good stuff but mostly set up but atleast we're finally heading into new territory for me. This is around the point I stopped watching.
More 90's fun with Batman's Legacy event(ish). This time the virus can come back from cantagion and it's got Robin worried he might die again!
But before we get to the main focus, since this title is mostly the prelude to Legacy event really. We have Lockup, a guy who, you guessed it, locks people up for being bad guys. Kind of like a discount Punisher. Luckily, besides his terrible outfit and name, he's pretty fun and goes after Robin and Nightwing which make for a fun story. We then move into the main plot with Batman finding out who brought the virus and why. The main legacy plot isn't bad in a cheesy 90's Batman adventure type way.
The Catwoman stories range from so over the top they're fun to godawful stupid dialogue and moments. It is honestly what brings down the series. Luckily Huntress is much better written in this book.
So overall a decent collection of a decently fun story. A 3 out of 5.

Legacy volume 2 continues the storyline of Batman trying to stop Ra from killing people with a deadly virus but we have our favorite bad guy Bane joining the cause.
A lot of this volume is actually Bane getting close to Ra's daughter and becoming the next demon king. Well, his plans don't go as planned but least he gets to fight batman again. But this time Batman has backup with Nightwing and Robin. On top of that what about the virus? WILL IT SPREAD AGAIN! That's what we're trying to stop.
This is pretty good cartoon like batman stories. Nothing amazing but it's still fun to read. With the exception of the awful Catwoman issues this collection isn't bad and sets up some interesting storylines and a great Robin moment trying to save someone. The fights are half way decent too as Bruce goes a bit berserk on Bane.
Not bad but not amazing. A 3 out of 5.
