So we're about half way through dragon ball and this is still the weaker part of it. Don't worry though, after this we getting into some good ass shit!

What I liked: Volume 8 as a whole is super fun, super serious at times, and really well done. Goku fights off against his strongest opponent yet. This bastard kills Goku's friend and then leaves Goku for dead. The little monkey boy uses his skills to climb the tower and become even stronger! It's a lot of fun and the end of this arc where Goku just destroys the red ribbon army made me happy and say "FINALLY!" lol. Also Bulma's BOOBS = 10/10.

What I didn't like: Volume 7 and 9 had similar issues. A little too silly at times. A little TOO over the top with the jokes. Also weak main storyline. No risk, no worry, just know Goku will beat everyone and all will be good. Atleast volume 8 made you feel like he might lose for a bit.

Overall Dragon ball falls in a bit of a slump here but it still remains a fun and entertaining read. Now it's about to get even better though and I'm fully ready to embrace that shit!

I actually waited a day before I reviewed this because I wanted to think about it. Did I love it"? No. Did I hate it? No. Did I love THINGS about it? Yes. Did I HATE things about it? Yes. So I'm going to try to break it down.

What I liked: The moments when people begin to turn is great. I actually love that they still hold a little of who they are. Sometimes speaking or repeating words of something they did last before turning. Also the way they move is freaky and scary. Crawling like the grudge ass creatures. I also enjoyed some of the humor. It's so over the top and crazy you can't help but laugh. I also got to say it was a relief to see some real life manga troubles. Shit is hard work, and any artist can relate. So that was nice.

What I didn't like: The pacing is all over the place. I'm all for character building but my God the first half is really slow, over the top, weird, and sometimes boring to read. The main character is also a total loser, and that always drives me crazy in cliche world of anime. The manga can also be confusing to read and sometimes gotta re-read panels to get it all. I just didn't care for many of the characters here.

So it's a interesting enough read. I probably will pick up volume 2 down the line but for now I'll just place it to the side. It's good enough to recommend to read but I wouldn't say it's a must buy or anything.

This is nearly a perfect volume. It's just one or two moments I disliked but the entire 3 in 1 is VERY much worth checking out. Let's talk about what works.

What I liked: Volume 10 starts off right in the tournament and it's so good. I love these fights. Watching Goku vs Krillian is both heartbreaking and exciting. You know who will win but the right itself is super entertaining. Then Goku vs Tien is just...awesome. Really super fun yet it's the first real fight you feel. The the actual winner is a surprise and that's always nice. Sadly something horrible happens soon after and leads us right to the next arc. KING PICOLLO! The DEMON LORD! It starts heating up and the final few chapters are intense.

What I didn't like: I wish the tournament was longer. A extra few fights would have been nice. Also Tien switch to the good side seemed a bit to quick. I needed more than that.

Overall this is a great volume (book) and very much worth the 4.5. From what I remember it only gets better from here on out too!

This is it. This volume contains some of the best Dragon Ball Has to offer. This gets the humor + badass epic fights done so well you know Akira was at the TOP of his game here. Goku has to face the unstoppable King Piccolo! The fight for the ages! Then we enter the FINAL tournament. It's on! Goku vs Tien, Krillian vs Piccolo! Let's fucking do it!

What I liked: Everything. Each volume gets better and better. King Piccolo is actually fearsome and Goku has to use everything he has to win. When the poor monkey boy lost everything he will give it his all to win, to save the day. The epic conclusion is one of the best ever. On top of that we get the last tournament's first few matches and they so good. Tien vs Goku is really great and just shows how much Goku has grown. Oh and the Chi Chi moment was fucking amazing and made me laugh so hard.

What I didn't like: Almost nothing. This is an amazing volume.

We're reaching the end of Dragon Ball with the next volume. It's sad I've reached the end so quick because I truly do love this series. Sure it has some bumps (Red Ribbon) but overall Dragon Ball is a blast and so fun! Everyone should give it a try, especially with this super cheap format!

This one kind of blew me away. Not because it's perfect, but because I expected very little from it and came out loving most of it. Venom here is Flash Thompson. The best idea to happen to this character...like ever. You remember flash right? Peter's bully in High School? Later on he joins the army to fight for his country to protect people like his hero who is...you guessed it! Spider-man! So he is here with the Venom suit but to use it to help people. If he keeps it in control and takes it off before 2 days time he is able to wield it as a weapon to save people. This volume has 3 different arcs but are they all good? Let's find out.

What I liked: Loved Flash. Just in 12 issues you get a rollercoaster of emotions from the man. First arc (and weakest) deals with him coming to terms of who he is and a little brawl with Spider-man himself. Then you get him dealing with his father and his dying days. In the middle of Spider-island, which I didn't love. However, it was really well done here and Flash truly came out as a complicated and interesting character for these 4 issues. The last arc is more offbeat but still fun. Venom and Flash are on the run and they forcefully join up with someone who evil as fuck! Jacko Lateran. He's a piece of shit and you get his backstory. It really begins to build up and there's a great showdown at the final issue.

What I didn't like: The start felt a little shaky. Especially issue 1-2. I didn't think I'd love it. And then it began turning around by the end once Spider-man came in and we get to see a side of Flash that's interesting.

Overall Venom Complete Collection is VERY much worth reading. I'd actually place this around a 4 or 4.5. I was so surprised that is just simply blew me the hell away. I hope the second volume can keep this up.

This was pretty fun if not a tad bit confusing. I'll admit, I never read a secret avengers title. There's enough freaking Avengers titles to read and catch up on before getting to the "SECRET" avengers. Plus I heard their previous runs been meh. So I said screw it. But then people said this one was a lot of fun and I said 'Sure why not. Marvel Unlimited let's do it" and glad I did. This was pretty dang good!

What I liked: The artwork reminded me of Matt Fraction's Hawkeye. I really thought it all flowed together nice and easy to see the action. The dialog was pretty fun and goofy. Things happened at a very fast paced and one minute you're on earth the next you're in space. I liked the pace just because I was never bored and I did get a few laughs for sure.

What I didn't like: The story is all over the place. Sometimes I couldn't even keep up with what was happening. The first few issues I stayed confused but by the end I was starting to see the bigger picture. The ending was pretty exciting for the future of this series.

So I had a lot of fun reading this. I will def check out volume 2 down the line. Let's hope it keeps up the fun times!

I read this in 20 minutes. I went for a walk with my wife. Came back and went to write a review on it. I can't remember anything from it other than some really bad lines. "I don't feel anything. I like it that way" What...what? WHAT? And Deathstroke...omg this is the worst Deathstroke to ever be written IMO. Also the ending was so rushed it feels like we'll never get another one of these.

I love Spider-man. I do. He's my dude. He's my hero. I'm naming my first kid Ben Parker (No joke). He will always make me feel like I can be a better man. He's just a guy trying to do the right thing from New York. That's me! All me.

So why am I giving Amazing Spider-man Worldwide Volume 2 a 2? Because it's just not...that...fun. Spider-man is broken into two arcs here. First one dealing with Mr. Negative. Now I usually give high praise to Dan Slott's villains. I think they're usually well crafted and actually put FEAR into the heroes. I loved his Hobgoblin and enjoyed Mr. Negative in brand new day. However here he comes across as lame and boring villain of the week. Even worse we get Scorpio who is just LAME as fuck. He plans on taking over the world or some Saturday cartoon plan.

What I liked: There's a couple of laugh out loud moments. Usually involving lackys from the villains. They're so stupid. Also the art is pretty solid and everything flows pretty well. No complaints in the art department.

What I didn't like: The plot, or lack of. I just don't care about these villains at all and Spider-man comes across as boring when he's all high and mighty. His quips besides 1 or 2 are just lameeeeee. He's just not funny! HOW CAN I READ A SPIDER-MAN BOOK WHERE SPIDER-MAN isn't FUNNY!? Ugh. I also hate how both arcs wrap up, as to promise us more from villains, but none have left an impact yet in this worldwide series.

Overall Amazing Spider-man Worldwide has been kind of a letdown. I didn't love all of Big Time but did enjoy moments. Worldwide has very few of those aswell.. Which is a shame because I actually LIKE the concept of Peter growing up, getting his shit together, and using his smarts. However here it's coming off as he's still dumb, with a lot of money, and really bad jokes (and not on purpose bad to make us laugh. He tries to sing Miley Cyrus song I shit you not...) So yeah a 2/5. Sadnezz.

At one point Kenan goes "What the hell is actually happening here?" and that's how I felt a lot of the time reading this. New Super-man is basically about a boy who gets the powers similar to Superman but is located in China. Soon after he meets the Bat-man and Wonder Woman of China. They form the Justice League of China!

Volume 2 goes into Bat-man's training and how he became who he is. Also his arch villain which is kind of tragic. We also get a little bit more about Wonder Woman and her twist is a tad fucked up. Also Kenan begins his training to learn how to control and summon his powers. We also get Superman Zero? Which still confuses me but regardless he's like a villain/hero.

What I liked: The art is still well done, with colorful scenes every page, and good emotion played out on each character. I thought Kenan remained fun, and still kind of a ass, but in all the right ways. Certain moments really worked like the racing of The Flash of China (even though she's American) and then Kenan using his powers again and also the ending was great. I also enjoyed Bat-man story and his twist ending to his villain.

What I didn't like: The book is really confusing at points. Going very very mystical route can be a bit much. I also thought the pacing was oddly structure. Lots of stuff happens, then slow, very slow, then BIG fight out of nowhere. I also not sold on the "big bads" or "Shield" type hero/villain organization.

Overall this was a tad wonkier than volume 1 and a bit more confusing. However, when it works, it has a lot of charm. I really enjoy the entire Justice League and their story and hope the story continues to build into something special.

Well the good news is this was better than volume 1. The bad news? It's still rough.

This volume focuses on the escape of our main hero. He's the titan boy we've all come to love and know. Just kidding. Anyway he escapes with his beloved blond cliche anime friend into the world to find a, you guessed it, a titan! Well shit, that can't turn out well right? He's just a normal dude going face to face with a titan.

What I liked: The pacing is far quicker and better IMO. I liked the idea of showing out the units got together again to make the guards. It's their pre-badass stage when they get their equipment so basically just a bunch of sitting ducks. Also was cool to see that even the main character can get hurt pretty bad.

The bad: Well, it's got some really rough art that I can't tell what in the fuck is happening! I also think the leads are pretty boring. One just kind of there, the girl kind of there, no one doing much. Also the mentality behind the main lead is dumb.

So yeah, it's more entertaining than the last but I'm still going 2.5/5 and hitting it with a 2/5 because I KNOW it can be better and that's the worst part of it. So come on Before the Fall! I'll give you 2 more volumes to prove your worth!
