Another great volume.

I feel like we always have to worry about the health going wrong, which can be stressful. But I love their relationship, and this one has some great shots of them enjoying life together. The side characters were a bit weaker in this volume though.

This Omnibus is basically 3 stories put into one Omnibus.

So let's start with maybe the biggest one. Born again. This has gone down as one of the best Daredevil storylines of all time for a lot of people. And when I read it, least the first half, I actually agree it's great. To watch Matt's slow decent into madness after Kingpin finds out who he is. How he uses this information, and gaining it from one of Matt's old loved one, is perfect. And Matt actually becoming born again as a superhero. All of that was actually great, and I loved it. But then we get to the Nuke part. Nuke can be a great villain. Here though, as a dog for Kingpin, he feels lackluster. He just doesn't have the same interesting moments he does in some Captain America runs. I just didn't like how that storyline was handled much at all, since Matt had already overcome his sense of dread from being outed.

Then we have a love is war storyline. This one almost feels DREAM like, which has a unique feel to it. Saying that, it's not a very good unique feel. I was confused half the time, it's kind of a boring storyline as well with me. It has moments, towards the end especially, but this is easily the weakest part of the entire collection for me.

And for the final part we have Man Without Fear. And it's easily the best of the bunch. Matt's origin story is beautiful done, straight to the point. You get to cover when he becomes blind, loses his father, trains with his new mentor Stick, and learns to become a hero. The iconic black suit you see in season 1 of Daredevil takes from this storyline, and yes it looks that damn good. Daredevil uses fear to impose on his enemies, making sure they understand not to hurt the innocent. Between the badass fight scenes, the emotions of the characters, and the excellent art this is one classic superhero story you should not miss.

BUT saying that, this is a very flawed collection. Born again is uneven for me, Love is War is not very good, and then we get a awesome Man without fear. If I had to rate each it would be Born again at a 3, love is war a 2, and Man without fear a 4 or maybe even a five. So with that, I'ma go with a 3 out of 5, maybe even a 3.5 cause of how good Man without fear is, but it's not the strongest collection of stories since so uneven.

Wind Breaker is an action-packed manga that delivers high-stakes moments and intense fistfights, but it falls short in keeping the excitement consistent. The first half is filled with solid action scenes, and the art does a decent job of bringing the chaos to life. However, as the story progresses, it starts to feel repetitive and lacking in depth, making the second half a bit of a drag. The over the top silliness, while fun at first, loses its charm and ultimately bored me. If you’re in the mood for flashy action and don't mind a bit of predictable pacing, it might be worth a look, but it didn’t quite hold my interest in the end. Yawnnnnnn 2 out of 5.

A decent issue. Basically Ben is trying to buy a house, but connected through Kingpin. And Daredevil doesn't like that. Solid human moments.

Decent issue. Funny enough similar vibes to Born again but obviously solved in one issue. Matt's identity gets out thanks to a girl he works with and he has to put a stop to that. It wraps up too neatly for me but some fun moments to be had.

Daredevil has one of the best single issues here, trapped in a snowstorm with a bunch of kids and trying to survive. Great stuff, one of the best single issues I've ever read for any superhero comic.

Then we get a nice little team up with Spidy. It's pretty funny, but even funnier is Daredevil fucking Black Cat. Spidy's origin story of becoming a villain begins here.

Then we get a arc where Mole Man stole a bunch of bodies from graves. Including Jack Murdock, Matt's father! Excellent shit, really sad moments, and a great ending.

I'm loving my re-read of Waid's run. So fun, but also has great somber moments. A 4 out of 5.

Vampires enter the picture. A bit of a slow start but I like how it's placing down all the pieces. Wes and his lady friends relationship is adorable.

Things heat up as the killings rise. Also....lesbian vampires ftw.

Really liked this. Basically Batman is trapped in a room with a young women and a old professor. However, one of them will die before they can get out in time. So they begin to decide who will by telling their tale. The women's tale is the one told in this issue, and it's very sad.

A great issue, really slowburn on how this cult/vamp is taking over. Love the gay angle too since was so "Taboo" back then. Overall great stuff.
