After reading Geiger I was really excited to read Rook. But this one didn't connect with me much at all. Maybe it was the world building, just not caring about Rook, or his girlfriend/friend, or really anything. Something just didn't click with me, but the art was solid enough. I'll be sticking to Geiger for this universe.

Really loved the first two issues, 3 and 4 were good but not great. I think it became a bit too predictable and also a little to "Oh everyone is alive" for my taste. But overall still way better than I expected with a ton of great call backs for fans who grew up with the power rangers like myself. Overall a 4 out of 5.

This time they come clean to his family. Explaining they aren't getting married. She faints, and then a old friend from his childhood pops up and comes to live in the city after. Overall a very fun volume, the stuff with the co-worker wasn't as entertaining though the ending zinger was sad and well done.

Overall another solid volume, closer to a 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4 cause I like these characters a lot.

Really liked this issue. Leo trying to get away from society, help turtles, only for the Foot to fuck it all up. Dark ending too. Good stuff all around. The band is almost back together!

While not AS strong as volume 1 (That's cause Volume 1 is insanely fucking good) it's still great. This time we get each issue focusing on a different main character. From a young guy with a baby girl, to a old mother trying to figure out how to make things right, to a old Indian who could have done a lot but did very little. They all tell a dark tale, some worse than the last, but all equally shitty lives int his fucked up little town. The world building is second to none and while not every tale was as interesting as the last, they all ranged from good to excellent. A 4 out of 5.

The art is a bit jarring, won't lie, took me a minute to get used to it.

But the story is great, one of the best I've read for Donnie who is my least favorite turtle. The ending is dark, but also uplifting. I hope we see the brothers work well together.

Ah Bat-Mite....how I dislike you. Cool trippy art can't save this dumb as hell character.

A fun but overall kind of slow storyline. Basically we have a girl named Emma who's a genius and her parents were thieves. They're gone now and one of their old baddies is back to get revenge. So she has to bring together a group similar to what her parents did. I did enjoy the chemistry between the main cast a lot, and the art is solid, but the plot moves WAY to slow for six issues. I felt like we were never going to get it moving. Outside of issue 1 and 3, the plot didn't progress in a all that interesting way sadly. A 3 out of 5.

Blah, this is just not great. There's a few stand out shorts, one in particular I loved about a werewolf and vampire, but overall the MAIN stories are just...dull. Garth usually grit and edge is completely replaced by slow build that....doesn't add to much. Overall a big disappointment.

Huge Laura fan. One of my favorites. However, her series haven't been that great. This little mini starts off decent enough. Basically she goes on a hunt to get back a mutant who's been kidnapped. I like she's a bit more brutal. I also enjoyed some of the action scenes. But the art is rough in some spots, and the villains were lame. But excited for the cliffhanger.
