I reviewed this way back in the day but I liked it more this time around so I'll post it again.

This is the early days of Peter Parker. When he was trying to get with Gwen, and MJ came into his life. A lot of this focuses on Peter's everyday life with his Aunt, the girls, his friends, and of course being Spider-man. It's almost a slice of life, with some action put in. The kicker is the ending which comes full circle and really works well. The art is great, and MJ and Gwen are knockouts, as well as Spider-Man looking fantastic. Overall it's a laid back, kind of BLUE feeling to this book, that makes it worth reading for ANY Spidy fan.

My 900th book of the year!!!!! I hit my goal!!!!

Anyway on to the excellent volume one of scalped. I've been waiting years and years to read this and it is well worth the wait. The characters are all terrible assholes who deserve their fates but you can't stop reading. Like a Trainwreck. I loved the twist and turns, learning the background of our lead only gets darker and by the end of volume 1 I was completely hooked. I'm being vague cause so many things happen in five issues and I refuse to spoil anything. There's a reason this book made Jason Aaron considered one of the heavy weights. Read it now.

A directionless path forward, Flash goes super cosmic horror and not for the better. I think Flash honestly needs a fresh new feel, make it grounded again, and have fun with the character. The last couple of runs been kind of aimless, and this one is just a bunch of cosmos mobo jumbo that's never fun to read.

Things are heating up with DOOMSDAY returning BUT not in the way you think. Color me intrigued, and Dan mora art is always A++++

Rogue Sun gets fun again as this time we have all the past Rogue Suns fighting for a single body. A lot of internal struggle, that actually helps expand characters like Dylan and Owen a lot. I will say the outside battles with the villains was the least interesting part. While I didn't love this volume as much as the last two I still dug it. A solid 3, or 3.5 out of 5.

Transformers continues to be a WILD fucking ride.

This time we take a small break to give a breather for everyone to regroup. But soundwave doesn't like that idea and wants to take earth for all its resources. But first he messes with Prime again, this time having the advantage, and kidnaps two of his people.

This volume heals with heavy PDST, torture, death, and grieving. The ending is truly heartbreaking, and this entire series is non-stop action packed, fucked up war, ride and I can't stop reading. Easily the best transformers media ever.

Didn't love Damien in this. Felt to bratty, and maybe too young, in comparison to the last few years of work on him. But overall a decent start. I'll wait till the arc is done before judging too much.

A decent story if Batman took place in the 30's. I liked the idea, themes, and even the suit (Old as hell, corny, but cool none the less for being different). And I liked Jurgen writing a more mature story for once, it felt good. However, overall, the pacing was very stilted, slow, and felt like it took forever to get things done in this story. Some great moments including Batman being tortured, a beatdown like no other, and some great art but overall not a must read I was hoping for. A 3 out of 5.

Wow this was a complete dud. Think I'ma pass on the tie ins cause they're not...good....I'll jump back on with the main series.

A solid followup going deeper into the sidekick of our main character who is dead. I liked the slow build towards this group of friends, and what made them split so bad.
