This volume pushes the humor more and goddamn does it work. I love this group of adventures and even when we have someone new come along, a priest, it adds to both the humor and touching moments. I think there's a lot of great sad but thoughtful moments. One where a Dwarf protects a village because it was his wife's will very long ago and she has passed. There's a very touching moment when he couldn't remember her face or how she smelled. On top of that there's a great moment where Stark is a stand in for this warrior and his father puts on this show to keep his people happy. It's touching and sad, filled with great character moments.

What I'm trying to say that this is slowly becoming one of my favorite mangas of all time.

A solid first issue. Closer to a 3.5 but the art I'll bump it to a 4. Basically sets the stage on earth and on Superman's homeland where the poor are treated like garbage, and it's no surprise yet Superman is trying to fight back against the injustice. A lot of world building makes the pacing slow here but once it kicks it up, the last half and the backdrop to Supes as a child, make this one pretty interesting.

NOT MY BOY!!!!!

Goddamn this was a great issue, love what they were doing with the Makers and the androids, and fuck, watching the final stand was so heartbreaking. Love this comic.

This one surprised me, because it's been so long since Cass has been written this well I'm almost blown away. Badass, strong, and willing to save people, even horrible people. Only thing weak is the army coming after her seems blah, just another hand style nameless warriors.

The humor level jumps as we spend one whole issue of Jackie trying to get laid by making a fake woman, and it's actually pretty funny with his little demon darkling creatures helping. Then we get mixed up with Witchblade here in the first crossover, and it's pretty goddamn messy and way to boring at points. There's highlights, some messed up deaths, and a cool villain, but overall the crossover didn't do much for me. Excited to jump into the next arc though.

Whoa, this was WAY better than I expected. I never even knew this series was running the last few years but fuck, this was awesome!

Basically Poison Ivy goes on a road trip around America slowly sending our spoors, ready to enact the end of humanity for what they've done. First off, love this idea, and love this version of Pamela. Vicious when needed, but loving side does show. Especially for plants and the Green. I really loved all her intimate moments with Harley and the stuff with The Green King was fantastic. Art is also insanely good throughout.

It does feel a little padding in the middle, but overall this is a must read for fans of the characters, fan of horror, and fans of just good comics. A 4.5 out of 5.

An abused women gets given away to a guy to marry. But this guy, a reputation for being mean, smug, and brutal to the women he has given but we learn a lot more about both as we go on. Maybe their broken life style, both hurt in the past can bring them together in a happy marriage.

It's a very slow build. I do appreciate the style and the overall idea of these families having "gifts" which are powers. But the story hasn't fully grasp me yet even if I feel so bad for the main lead. I'm hoping it keeps building up, as I enjoyed this quite a bit. Between a 3-3.5. I think once I get more attached to the characters it'll turn into something I'll really enjoy.

A real nice farewell. One thing I thought Joshua got the whole run was Ollie down to a tee. And this was a nice goodbye.

Holy fucking shit. The ultimates get....well wrecked. Beaten. Fucked up. This was great. Can't wait for the next issue.

The Darkness keeps up the edgy 90's funness with a lot of cheese.

This one we have a better more comprehensive story than last volume with Jackie getting cornered, tricked, by his basically cousin. As he looks up to his "uncle" as a actual uncle even though more just his boss. But the Boss's daughter has another idea and wants to take down Jackie and run everything, for revenge on her mom. So get some fun moments, and cool fights. Second half feels more disjointed but some really fun fights regardless.

A 3 out of 5.
