A good issue but felt like more setting up everything than big reveals. But the cyclops part was dope as fuck.
Solid all around. Great art. Good story. Hasn't blown me away but I like how we set up deaths and wolvie has a reason to kill. A 3.5 out of 5.
Whew waaaaay to overstuffed. Two big fat storylines mixed with so much magic mumble jumble I just know Lemire was on auto pilot half of this. But when we're out of the magical orb of destiny shit the dialogue between characters actually hits well. I like Frankestein even on this time. I also thought the art was solid throughout. But overall this series tries too much sometimes.
Soma is a interesting read. I like to challenge myself sometimes to read things that don't interest me based on cover/description and Soma is that. But under it all I enjoyed most of my time with it, even if it didn't blow me away.
The general idea the main author is struggling to write something is good. As someone who loves to write, I've went through that many times. However, the zanny weird story she begins to write is so over the top, and the humor a lot of the times didn't land for me. But the art itself is great, with some wacky designs I did really love (The little aliens!!!) but overall if want something a bit zanny and different, this one is pretty fun. A 3 out of 5.

2024 Review - I'd probably bump this to a 2.5...maybe a 3. The opening is actually pretty good with Superman killing someone by mistake and the heroes unsure of what to do. And I liked Pandora here. But by the end the convoluted mess of having all the "Dark" titles come together and just shit out some bullshit magic to stop the big bad felt forced as hell.
Overall just not great. I'll keep the rating cause it is one of the weaker events.
2016 Review: A mess.
Yeah that's all I could think about when reading this. This very long, over-bloated, sometimes incoherent book. So Pandora released all the evil in the world, and not this skull contains the evil of it? Or something. Honestly I was having trouble following because it seemed stupid. Especially the parts with the heroes fighting each other...for no reason...like no reason at all.
Don't even get me started on the filler arcs. There's a whole thing with going into the afterlife, but it's really for nothing, changes nothing, you could have taken out 60-70 pages of this and made it more enjoyable because the pacing wouldn't be nearly as bad.
I mean there are great moments. I enjoyed the ending because it leaves a sweet cliffhanger. I also enjoyed the art for the most part. However, the rest of it is a gigantic mess, not all that fun to read, and better to just skip.
However least with the cliffhanger I'm excited for Forever Evil.

I can't. I refuse. I will not read something this fucking convoluted and frankly boring. I'm 35 I'm not about to waste my time anymore reading horse shit. A 1 out of 5 and I'm being nice.
This is 90s image comics to the max. But there is charm to be had. The darkness is a badass looking superhero with edgy little gremlins as he takes on half naked herpy looking creatures. Fun and dumb!
This was okay. I expected more from Parrott as he usually writes great stuff. And the idea here of the Devil leaving behind his business to his fucked up kids and can't decide who is fun idea but the needless padding to the story with so many twist and turns but all so predictable didn't help this series for me.
Jesus Christ this is one of the Only Omnibus I couldn't even get all the way through. At a massive 1500+ page count I had to tap out around page 850-900. I can't fully remember cause my mind was filled with so much mumble jumbo horse shit magic lines I couldn't stand it anymore.
The first 3 arcs are fine. Nothing special but nothing horrendous. But once this title starts crossing over we get into some truly AWFUL storytelling with some really shitty fucking reasoning on why we're getting transported to different "worlds" or universes and...you know what, just fuck it. Skip this one. At best it's readable and fine, at worst it's a fucking slog and a waste of your life here on earth.
A 2 out of 5.
