DNF this was so boring I couldn't get past issue 2.
Killer croc decides to fight for his new home, while Batman tries to RUIN that. But after a misunderstanding, death comes for them all. Can Croc and Bruce work together? Solid story with great art, overall enjoyable issue.
I have to say this might be one of the biggest surprises for me.
After really enjoying volume 1 and even 2 of Thunderbolts I was excited to dive deeper into their group and stories. And I loved we got to modern era, early 2000's, since that is where I myself got into most comics as a young teen. However, this series failed to maintain it's style or character development we got in the previous to Omnibus.
This Omnibus starts with Counter Earth. Now let me just say all this counter earth shit is NOT a fun read. It's boring and way to sci-fi to make me give a shit about the settings. And a lot of the first 10 issues or so are one offs, no team dynamic, and feels very very different from the previous run of feeling like a team.
Then we get into the Avengers/Thunderbolts team up and it's okay. It's solid enough and some cool moments shared between leads like Cap, Songbird, and so on. But overall kind of forgettable if I'm being honest.
Then we jump into the New Thunderbolts, a relaunch for the series, and it's okay. It feels like the team is back together, and moments of them working and fighting together is great, but the feel outside of the fights just isn't the same. They don't feel like the real group of Thunderbolts we had in the previous Omnibus. They feel more individual problems but not actually crossing over with each other to help one another.
Just overall besides some solid issues including Civil War event, or Avengers vs Thunderbolts, this last half was again just okay. The art is fine. The story is meh. The characters when they're together work but a lot of the time they aren't. And the big end of the world type shit just didn't work well for this team.
Overall a 2.5 out of 5.

The end of a era!
I really enjoyed this series. Yes, at points it becomes a bit heavy handed with it's message of acceptances and disabilities but at the same time it's so heartwarming and touching, and a positive vibe throughout that really made me enjoy the story and the characters especially.
This volume has them go to a cave on their first real vacation together and it's both cute and well done. The ending is a bit of a let down, feeling too simple and not enough tied up. But overall I enjoyed this series and will re-read down the line!

Another decent, dumb as fuck, but also mostly fun volume. The stuff with Dylan was actually my favorite part. I like him and Venom working together. The stuff with Eddie went a bit too over the top for me, going back into outer space and time traveling. But overall this is a fun but kind of dumb volume like most of this volume.
A man is innocent and is going to get the needle. If Spectre gets himself involved it gets messy, since he's the god of vengeance. This leads to a interesting back and forth. A 4 out of 5.
Peter Milligan gives us one of the most boring villains/history lessons ever. However, the art is really solid here, some great shots of Batman.
A disjointed volume as always. Grant's stories are actually the strongest of the bunch. Showcasing his ability to make grounded and still enjoyable superhero tales with Batty. Milligan makes the worst stories here, giving us piss poor villains. Dixon's story is okay, Cobra is just....whatever.
Overall good art, good stories with Grant. A 3 out of 5.
