Another great volume. This series always has me smiling.
This time our fearless barbarian is stuck in hell. Poor dude, right? WRONG. He gets to fight and live his best life down there with an old friend. While up top we have his friends trying to find a way to bring him back. The change in pace and character structure help keep this one really fresh, with some laugh out loud moments, and a nice way to build up the spin off. Also the one shot at the end? Hilarious. Overall if you like really fun/funny dialogue and brutal fight scenes, this is a series I can not recommend enough!
A 4.5 out of 5.

Failsafe is def a scary villain. For once a villain that feels almost unstoppable. This is the maybe 3rd encounter with him and Bruce once again is not winning no matter his planning. It makes for some very entertaining fights.
I don't normally read short story books but figured I'd give this a go.
This collection is broken into 4 stories.
1st Story labeled 1922 is the longest but honestly weakest story for me. It's about a guy who's married with a kid who's had enough of his wife. Basically he's a farmer who wants to keep the land given plus his wife's land, and his wife wants to sell it and move on. Of course it doesn't go the way he wants, things get very messy, and a ton of horrible things happen. The nasty brutal scenes are done well, especially one death, but overall none of the characters really grabbed me, which surprised me in a Stephen King Novel. A okay story about doing bad and suffering Karma.
2nd story is Big Driver. This one is a rape revenge story and while written well, again the character of Tess didn't really get me invested as much as I hoped. I felt for her, and what she went through was horrible, and the revenge was nice but it felt all a little to predictable. Been there done that type of story.
3rd story is Fair Extension which honestly is the shortest but most diabolical and nasty one that I enjoyed the most. This one had a guy who was down on his luck, shitty life, and dying very soon to cancer. He makes a deal to live by having his "best friend" get all the terrible luck int he world for his life to swing upward. It's fucked up and ends just as fucked up.
Last one is Good Marriage and this is also highly entertaining. The first half is nail-biting and all the reasons why I love King's suspense style writing. The second half is good but the wrap up on the husband was a bit too easy. I won't spoil anything but worth reading this one for sure.
The later half of this collection is stronger than the first half. But even so I'd probably rate this whole entire collection about a 3 to a 3.5. So I'll settle on a 3 for goodreads.

Actually an enjoyable issue where Peter and MJ are trying to decide if they should have kids and Peter is worried the kid might come out wrong so goes to Beast for advice. Fun times.
A meh opening for a overall silly story that doesn't do much with it's sinister six cast.
Pretty horrible story about venom wanting revenge on spidy.
A fun collection of stories. Basically Doc Ock wants revenge on Peter so he plans to bring a new sinister six to the front line. On top of that Peter and MJ are working through life trying to be together but also working on themselves. A slice of life spidy story, nothing grand or big, but always enjoyable with a bit of cheese.
First half was real strong, second half not so much. Anything with the Question, his past, and him trying to solve things was great. I love Green Arrow but him coming in didn't add much and the plot to stop the villains was, to be frank, boring.
A pretty piss poor "event" if you call it that. Basically Erik can draw but his writing...not so much. This revenge tale is pretty bad and Doc Ock is so fucking overpowered and dumb here. Yeah, this was a bad 90's story to a tee.
Again, the Question stuff is great. Not sure how I fel tabout Oneil's green arrow stuff, just doesn't have the same charm.
