Well I read this last night before I went to sleep.
I then had nightmares of everyone I know dying.
Then I woke up and said I had to review this.
Deadly Class Volume 4 is one of the most intense, fucked up, lovely comic ever made. This is the red wedding of comics, this is the "NOOOOOO" moment of comics, this is the "Well what the fuck now?" of comics.
Deadly Class is both sad and beautiful in some ways. The final pages are touching and wonderful and made me feel so many fucking emotions. However, everything before that is nail-biting, scary, and it's like "The Warriors" meet "The Departed" I mean this shit...this was some amazing shit.
I can't even talk about it cause of spoilers but be prepared. If you read volume 1-3 this is what it all leads up to, and it doesn't let you down.

Damn it! WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE MY FIRST BOOK OF 2017!!!!
So I guess we end 2016 with a 5 star review (Deadly Class Volume 4) and get to start with this (mostly) pile of shit book.
The first half of this volume isn't terrible. It's actually kind of funny. Got a superhero who basically fucks everything. Something is wrong with him and anything around him will be fucked from hamsters, to coffee cups, to anyone's ass. It's very scary. The story is really revolving around why this poor gay person was murdered. The ending is dumb, yet I laughed...I felt disugsted. But whatever, this it The Boys afterall.
Saying that, the second half is fucking boring. SO BORING. There's no moments of funness in it, the shitty "villain" hero is boring, and so much needless dialog. This second half dragged on and I felt like I was about to fall asleep at any moment.
So yeah, The Boys isn't very good, but I'll continue...cause I'm foolish.

Hey, I liked this one a lot more than the previous two volumes.
I think the big thing here is the interaction. The last two volumes focused on the revolution but added in bunch of Magik issues, with alter dimensions, not all that fun. Here we get much more focused on Scott and the kids. He's a tough leader, but one who doesn't want to see people die, and he might kick ya out but least you won't fuck up the mission. Also the final issue is really well done, and a way to see into Scott's mind finally.
Overall enjoyable, if not a little disjointed, but entertaining at least. Hoping next few pick up.

Loved it. After lackluster "End Game" I was eager to see Scott return to form.
He did NOT fail. He gives us a Gotham after the events of End Game. It's in shambles, Batman is gone, and we need a hero. Jim Gordan, our fave Detective comes into play and becomes the one and only Batman, equipped with a big ass Bunny Mech Suit.
I always enjoy fresh takes that are well done and Jim is no Bruce but that's what makes him compelling in my eyes. A very different Batman, more gun play, and way more rash yet exciting. I really dug this Batman as something very different yet still have the same feel.
I also love Bloom as a villain. Scary and disturbing, giving us a new villain we can be fearful of. I really enjoyed his introduction and the ending makes you excited as fuck for Volume 9. So off I go to read that!

I liked the last volume more. I'm a sucker for DBZ level fights throughout various different lands. Watching supes and Doomsday battle it out was great. This volume focuses more on Lois and Clark figuring out what the heck is happening.
So we still have two Clarks. Nothing is really answered here. Just the fact this Clark has memories of the Superman Clark but not why he's here, how, or what in general is happening. It's interesting but frustrated. Also we get more into Lois going back into the world and living her life. Somewhat interesting. My fave moment in this comic really is with Superman and his son. It's both fun and interesting. I hope to see more of that in the future.
Overall not as fun or over the top as volume 1 but still solid. Much better than New52 action comics by fucking MILES.

And so this is really the end of Scott's run, or last arc anyway, and boy did I enjoy.
So much great things to really smile about. The return of Bruce (badass return too), mecha suit gundam showdown, love the joker/bruce moment, and Jim's message at the end of the arc was wonderful. This really summed up what Batman was to Scott, and a lot of his views are mine as well so it was nice to see it all come to a close.
I really loved Bloom, and sure him getting Gundam size was a little meh, but by the end I really did love the final fight. Of course the last moments of it are powerful too thanks to Jim speaking, and really talking to the readers as a whole.
Yep, I really thought this was a great arc comeback after end game. Goodjob Scott, you did a damn fine job with your Batman run.

So let me make it clear. I thought this collection was a 2 star. Not all the stories.
Future's End - 2/5 - Was okay. I honestly just read through it quickly, kind of boring.
Rebirth 2/5 - I reviewed this with Rebirth Omnibus. Really boring, crappy ending, and I just didn't like this Bruce.
Issue 52 - 3/5 - Was okay. I didn't feel like this much either. I think mostly comes to the art and Batman not sounding like...Batman?
Issue 51 - 5/5 - This issue was stunning. This showed who and what Batman is about. It nearly made me cry by the end because we finally see Scott's final thoughts were on the cape crusader. HOnestly, this should have been the final issue in volume 9, it would have made that volume a 5/5.
So yeah, read issue 51 for sure, amazing final issue to Scott's New52 run, but the rest you can skip easily.

This was a solid volume but kind of feels more build up than anything.
Got a solid moment with Armstrong but it feels like "Been there done that" and the fallout really just builds up the next volume. This is actually where I stopped read, not cause it's bad (Invincible is never bad, always good to amazing) but they didn't release anything past this when I got here.
Really this is a build up volume. So on to the next one.

This is the BEST fucking volume since Conquest showed up. Holy smokes, this shit is insane.
Spoilers from last volume but Mark was trapped in the other dimension. He's able to stay there a few months, get everything up and running, and splits back to his dimension. Six months later....oh no. But everything seems normal until he shows up back at his home.
Shit goes insane from there. A certain someone comes to visit him and forces him to do unspeakable things. Then Mark confronts Robot but shit does NOT go the way he expected. People begin dying left and right. MARK RUN! NO! OMG! DEATH EVERYWHERE! Ugh this was so hard to read yet I couldn't stop once I started.
This was heartbreaking, intense, well paced, and fucking insane. This made me want to read the next volume right away because it's so fucking good. This is why I keep Invincible so high on my list. Because of volumes like this.

This is def one of my fave DC Rebirth titles. Okay so what did I like about it? Let's hit the positives.
The main character is great. He's funny, charming, good (somewhat) and a nice contrast between this Super-man and our Superman.
The chemistry between the main trio (the justice league of china, it's amazing, go with it) is near perfect. Especially by the end you feel these guys are friends, and it's a nice way of building through issue 1-6.
The twist at the end is actually something that caught me off guard. I thought it would go safe but it actually went a little crazy and I kind of love it.
Solid art too, though sometimes little off.
My only negative is it feels safe at times. But it's really a story touching on new themes and talking about copying and based on China and their lifestyle. So for that i found it interesting throughout.
Check out New Super-man if want something a bit refreshing. Picking up volume 2 once it's out. In a year...Please don't get canceled.
