Mr. Fear comes in to full display here, crushing Matt completely.
While some people dislike this arc, considering it "fridging" a character, I completely disagree. fridging is when you introduce a character simply to have them die for the sake of another character. Milla is a character who's been in play for a few years at this point, over 50 issues, and does not feel like she's being used simply to hurt Matt. She gets the shit end of the stick thanks to Matt, but so does most people in Matt's life.
Overall this arc is tense and fucked up. Matt still recovering to what happened to him only a year or so ago with Karen is now trying to deal with a attack on his wife. And Mr. Fear makes sure to strike Matt with a winning blow before Daredevil can do anything to save the ones he loves. A screwed up, almost cynical view on what happens when you live inside the world of a superhero and you aren't one.

A solid fun start to what I assume will be a long running series. Tony just trying his best to be a hero again. It has some solid humor and good dialogue but the plot itself is just decent, leading heavily into everyone attacking Tony again just because. I do like that but Warmachine and Iron Heart play a big role though.

One of the weirdest experiences I've had reading a comic.
Basically a smut creator, murder with sex, control completely over people, incel invasion, and more. This is extremely hard R comic, and I give credit where credit is due, I never read something like this but besides the main character a lot of the other characters felt like filler and couldn't attach to anyone else. Art is very solid throughout.

A town sets up something dark and mysterious as a murderer basically begins to hunt down these teenagers.
It's a typical slasher set up but with a few nice surprises here or there. I think the first issue is fantastic and while the remaining 3 are solid they don't have the same tone and surprise that first issue did. However for a fun little horror story this isn't a bad one to check out, fast paced, and fun feel to it even if it feels a little fluffed out with the plotting and okayish art.

Ed Brubaker's run holds up extremely well still.
While I think the opening with Matt in Prison and the Mr. Fear arc are the best, the middle is very solid too. A little weaker, kind of more padding in the middle with Matt going overseas, being the weakest part of the entire run. However, the Mr. Fear arc is brutal, fucked up, and honestly scary for Matt as a hero. The opening is intense and dark as you expect with Matt having to make it through Prison with people he put there.

Matt is spiraling down after what happened to Milla. Putting on his suit and beating the shit out of losers just to take his mind off of recent events. But when a man is on death row for doing something he didn't do, Matt has to become a lawyer again and work with Dekota and others to fix it. This is a cover up case, with some great moments of action, and a satisfying conclusion.
Daredevil remains one of the best, and Brubaker's run is so damn good.

Trying to settle between a 3 or 4.
The first issue is excellent. Feels like a actual high school setting with real teenagers. But then soon we get into this post apocalypses setting and it's less interesting because of it. Saying that still brutal and still funny in that sense, and the character's development is still great. It's not amazing but it's real good. A 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

So this is about a sex worker who uses her endurance of being hit and abused to make money. It's pretty insightful in that sense, never knew much about this sex and that kink. And the story moves extremely fast, the pacing almost jarring at times, but plenty of great scenes and while a bit cliche hits all the boxes for me with violence, sex, and fun. Overall a nice surprise and Christa continues to push out solid content from bad mother to this.

A pretty great annual with Daredevil trying to give the Black Tarantula a chance at being decent. Fun times and brutal fights. Brubaker was in the zone.
A solid team up book with Black Tarantula trying to change his ways. Be more of a hero. While Daredevil works with him to stop some criminals. I like that Brubaker is trying to give Black Tarantula new life, and he's a fun character so it works. A 3 out of 5.
