A surprisingly dark and twisted view into the mind of the Riddler prior to the events of The Batman movie.

We get the inner workings of Riddler before he becomes the twisted monster he is in the movies. No riddles here, except for every single thing he does and thinks feels like a riddle for himself to crack. Paul Dano gives realistic dialogue and the art plays in service of the dark and twisted story by giving us a weird, kind of haze like feel to it.

The only negative is this all takes place before the movie so we know how it ends. However, it's still very well written and fun to travel through. A 4 out of 5.

New Review: One of the best Batman comics ever. It actually might be my favorite ever re-reading it now. It captures Dick as Batman so well it makes me so mad we didn't get the original 4-5 year plan of Dick as Batman. He works so well here, giving us growth in such a short span of time while also giving us one of the darkest and most fucked up stories for Jim Gordon. This is a MUST read and a 5 out of 5 for me on re-read.

Original 2016 Review: Up until the last 3 issues I was in the 3.5-4 area. It was solid stuff, but then those last 3 issues happened and BOOM it shot up to a 5/5. This is now my favorite Batman story next to Hush and Court of Owls.

The story is focused on Dick taking over the Batman cowl. His story is both interesting and fun but not nearly as captivating as Jim's story. His son is back, and let's just say he ain't all that normal. The graphic novel balances the "is James (Jim's son) a killer or not?" and does it so well that it'll leave you guessing till the end.

Dick's growth as a character comes full circle here. He's in full control, feeling more like his own than ever before. Loved him having to handle most of this story by himself, save for Red Robin helping just a tad bit. He mostly goes with Jim and that's it. No other help. It reminds me of Year One but for Dick, and it's so wonderful to read.

I don't want to go into spoilers (Despite being older comic) but the last three issues left me glued to the page and heart thumping like crazy. It's one of the most exciting and well written stories I've read staring our favorite hero, the Batman!

Action packed, brutal, epic in scale. I can see why this one is better received than stormwatch. Full review in the absolute edition coming soon.

Overall, it was a great issue for some downtime and letting Marc and his personalities come out while revealing his disorder to everyone.

Another great issue. Between Moon Knight dealing with a queen vampire and the other moon knight in a fight for his life, it's both epic and chilling. Good stuff and messed up ending.

Ayyyye dramatic moon knight is the best and the reveal and ending? This is the best moon knight run hands down.

A very solid ending to the arc. Vampires don’t mess with moon knight and his girl.

Really digging the tone and vibe. Captain marvel and America are excellent and really dig Kang and his warnings.

Really enjoyed the art, weird as hell, yet compelling. Sadly the story itself is really weird and honestly hard to follow. While the dialogue itself was fine, the rest was iffy and I couldn't get into the characters at all.

So glad we finally got out of the Hotel/Paradise plot. SO overstretched and long. Even the first half of this had to drag it out SO damn long for the reveal that we all could have guessed. I really did not like this first half all that much.

Luckily second half shows a flashback of a different team and it's really well done, and kind of fucked up but semi-funny ending. I also really really enjoyed the the ending with a new game. One to survive getting fucked sniped? Sign me up.
