Another great volume.

MJ and Peter are back together, helping Aunt May back on her feet. While that's happening Daredevil has had ENOUGH of Kingpin. So he decides to form the Marvel Knights which is him, Shang-Chi, Iron Fist, Spider-man, Dr. Strange, and Moon Knight. This rowdy bunch must work together to take down Kingpin but Kingpin isn't as stupid as he looks.

A really great volume focusing on world building. I love to see Bendis tackle all these street level characters and give them all their own flares. Even Moon Knight worked really well here. Peter trying to be the hopeful hero that he is amongst the rougher and tougher adult heroes is great. Also the last issue is both uplifting and heartbreaking, and wonderful too all at the same time with Aunt May being the best Aunt May in any universe.

A 4.5 out of 5.

More of the same, but still entertaining.

Basically X is pushing back against crooked police. This leads the few decent police to try and figure out how they're being used. This leads to X slowly breaking down the baddies, while the good police do the same. Some fun twist and turns, moves at a nice pace, still very much Punisher meets Batman.

It really is the fall of Pantheon.

Everything starts to boil over to a big final showdown with Agamemnon. We've been getting his past origins with the little add on stories at the end of each issue. Now we see him come back to the Pantheon to break it all down and rebuild but the Hulk isn't having that. This leads to Hulk and the Pantheon verses Agamemnon and Achilles. It's a bitter sweet ending to a somewhat uneven storyline about the Pantheon but a highly entertaining ending.

The second half is more one shots of Hulk and Betty trying to live their lives undercover and away from everyone. It's fun and touches on subjects like shootings, abortions, and does it pretty tasteful if you ask me with a little superhero twist here or there. These are much more grounded than the last 30-40 issues but a nice change of pace with abomination showing up close to the end of these stories.

I will say the goodbye issue to Jim, Hulk's and Jones friend who has Aids really hits hard. I know we know a lot more about Aids now and people live even longer with it, but man, the desperation and sadness in this issue is rough piled on with another story happening at the same time. Peter David handles this one well.

Overall a great collection and now joining some of my favorite hulk stories around. A 4.5 out of 5.

This is actually a Comics-Prose, which is fusing images in the background but the story is told in a novel format. It's not my favorite thing but it worked pretty damn well here.

It's about a man name Hunter Rose, a famous Novelist who also happens to become an assassin and tus begins his murdering ways. It talks about building a empire to control the crime while a Man-wolf named Argent is hunting him. Argent actually works with the police to stop Hunter Rose. It sounds silly but it's taken semi-seriously and it works. You get sucked into this world quickly and then when Stacy Palumbo comes in, a daughter of a mobster who is killed, she is adopted by Hunter Rose. But Stacy eventually befriends Argent, and eventually this leads to the two dueling once more to the death.

A twisted, dark, well told, and very interesting world is being build around tragic characters and I can't help but enjoy. For one who's not the biggest fan of Comics-Prose, this was done extremely well and I'll be reading more. A 4 out of 5.

Well fuck man, this is going to be one of those books.

Our main lead is Rei Kiriyama, who at the start you know has had a rough go just from how he acts and reacts to things, but the focus is on him living on his own and becoming a professional Shogi player (Kind of like chess). There in this town he meets the Kawamoto family which consist of Akari, Hinata, and Momo, 3 sisters trying to make it through life with their own set of tragedy.

And that's the story. Just trying to survive. Life is a bitch, and we just struggle to get through it. It's not easy, and finding some happiness with others just trying to survive is great.

Also the cats are hysterical.

A really fun new start.

Miles is trying to deal with his life as always but he's growing up and getting a bit older. High School is still a problem but feels like we're getting to the end of HS soon. Hoping we can get Miles in college years, would be awesome. Anyway he's dealing with a lot, plus being Spider-Man, and of course his on and off thing with his gf. Then in comes Misty Knight, yes that one, and they team up to take down some baddies.

It's a lot of fun, reminds me a lot of old school Spider-Man adventures. The art is the highlight here though, looking fucking fan-tas-tic. Like really really good fight scenes and overall feel to what's happening on the pages. Miles and Knights relationship is funny as hell and well done. I also love his relationship with his parents.

The villains come across okay here, not sure how I feel about the new one, but intrigued enough to see them go further.

A 3.5 out of 5 but I'll bump it to a 4.

Really great main issue. Showcases who Clark is, but also gets to have some really tender moments with Jon and his guilt with the kids. The two extra stories are okay. Wish it was just the main story tbh.

I actually like this one more than the first. You get a better sense of what the characters are doing. Two friends growing up together, one gone missing, the other coming back ten years later to find her. Through their time together they created a world of stories, dark ones, and now they must face them. Maybe even together. A lot of nice creepy moments, a really screwed up ending, and interesting characters. A 4 out of 5.

A kind of fun but ultimately kind of boring at times story.

Basically Stargirl and Red Arrow team up. Which is crazy, cause I love both these characters. And they are searching for the Lost Children of the golden era of sidekicks. And they go to this island and try to rescue them and it's extremely predictable with almost zero twist, leaving the plotting a bit boring for me in the end.

I did like Johns Stargirl and Emiko working together, it was cute and they are badass. I also liked the start, the initial idea of hunting for sidekicks lost to the world. But by the end it seem to just be so "save them, this happens, they come back, set up next book" type feel it was a little weak there.

Overall decent, fun, but not great. A 2.5 out of 5.

Lots of jumping around multiverses, little too much fan service at times, but damn if it wasn't fun. Batman Beyond Cameo was super fun.
