A fun if a little zanny manga. It feels very similar to House husband but not as funny to me. Mainly because I'm not much into the Idol scene, so some of the jokes flew right past me. But it seems a lot of people really loved this one, and for good reason, if you get all the jokes I'm sure it hits harder. I will say the art is really solid with some funny as hell faces. Overall, a solid fun time, a 3 out of 5, but for fans of Idols this might be even higher.

A sexual trip through life.

This deluxe/Omnibus size book, 600 pages, focuses on Kaoru, a mega pervert who's into S&M and Nana, who learns her true calling as a sexual partner. These two try their best to help their fantasies grow and call their sexual exploration "breathers" to help get stress out from school and various other events.

It's a pretty fun story. I think it drags a bit with the sexual events, repeating a lot of the innerworkings of their thoughts but a lot of their thoughts are repeating what we can already tell just by viewing their faces. On top of that, the faces sometimes that are supposed to be sexy come across creepy instead.

But flaws aside the art outside the weird faces is good, the sexual nature of S&M, the master role, and the slave role, are explained well here and you can actually tell outside of acting like a asshole, Kaoru is actually someone who cares deeply for Nana. Those tender moments work well, and them trying to figure each other's feelings out is nice. The "3sum" at the end is interesting in a weird way, kind of a bit rough, but also has a nice ending to it? And no, there's not a actual 3sum, it's called that though.

In fact for a book that has S&M there is almost no to little actual sex moments. It's interesting.

ANYWAY this is obviously a mature only title, but if you want something a bit cute, weird, and all sexy this isn't a bad one to try. A 3.5 out of 5.

A pretty damn good body horror volume. The first 3 issue in particular are very good. Issue 4 solid too. Issue 5 a bit to weird, having bunch of superheroes join Ghost Rider in a race seemed, corny, to be honest. Saying that, it's still an enjoyable read, plenty of nasty moments, and a nice reboot in a way to the Ghost Rider Name.

Most of this volume is just good or decent. I enjoyed them but nothing really stood out with the exception of Flash getting new powers for a bit.

The Black Flash arc on the other hand is wonderful, dark, and well done. I really enjoyed it, and being a 3 parter it moved at neck-breaking pace. The opening part is sad as hell, the middle scary, the ending wonderful. It is easily one of my favorite Flash stories.

So okay stories throughout and one great story. A 3 out of 5.

A nice deep look into the mind of Norman since his sins were taken away. A man filled with guilt who has to force to live through those memories and it's wonderful. Seeing it tear him apart. But even more so to see him try his best to be decent. It's a nice change for Norman, and it doesn't come across as "Well now he's a good guy" because that's just not going to happen, and Cantwell understands that. If like to see more good work like this on Norman give this a read. A 4 out of 5.

Holy shit was this fun.

Basically a Ex-cop decides to work for the mafia families solving crimes and fixing shit. Thanks to his experience he knows how not only the families work but also his fellow cops. He's almost like a Private Eye for the worst scum on the planet. And when he brings on a "sidekick" of sorts things get really messy.

Lots of great turns and twist. Newburn goes from a stoic, tad boring character, to full blown fucking psycho and I love it. The ending really ramps up and those last 3 issues are excellent. I'm looking forward to reading more and some excellent art to boot.

A 4 out of 5.

A cool little what if future storyline. I believe this came out around the time of Age of Apocalpyse did, so it was more of a tie in. It introduces Maestro, a future Hulk who's horrible and the modern hulk goes to this time to stop him. Entertaining and brutal in ways, but little easy way out it feels, a 3.5 out of 5.

This was a lot of fun! The first half are couple of one shots before we get to the first 4 part storyline which helps expand Hulk and his team. It's about getting revenge and Hulk having to face his anger issues. It's pretty fun and exciting and a lot of great character interactions.

Then we get the future imperfect storyline that I reviewed on its own and it was pretty fun. Then we get the storyline after which center on Rick Jones marriage and Bruce finally reaching out for some help and it's all great stuff.

Overall, just a ton of fun with a lot of great character moments. A 4 out of 5.

A little light on a ending but everything else worked really well.

The kids are heading late into their first year at the academy and things are heating up. The big date to the dance, people are falling in love, and the magic grows in wonderful and horrifying ways. I really enjoyed the first few issues, just moves at such a nice pace and so many great interactions between the cast.

The last two issues feel a little rushed. I know we're getting more but it feels like a ending that's not a ending but Marvel wanted to rebrand to issue 1? Didn't love that idea.

Overall though really just an enjoyable freaking series. A 4 out of 5.

Way less fan service, which is nice, but also felt more like building blocks then full on story moving forward.

I do love the fact we get a experience of someone who did cosplay and stopped for personal reasons. Though those personal reasons seem legit, in her heart it doesn't feel right. Leaving a kind of sad and bitter life with that. I enjoyed seeing that point of view of a older character. I also like the new girl introduced here, she's kind of a bitch, but her reasoning of why and how she does cosplay should add a new layer to the story.

Overall a good volume but not a great one. Still enjoying the inner workings of cosplay and all that you have to do to make it work. A 3.5 out of 5.
