Spectre is not having a good day. His advisory is a step ahead of him at every turn, people are killing each other thanks to this sicko, and when Spectre finally corners him he might be in for a hell of a surprise. Great stuff.

Another really solid volume with plenty of funny moments, but for some reason the series feels like it isn't going anywhere plot wise, least for me. I'm not sure if I'll continue this series anytime soon but it's oddness makes it enjoyable.

Holden is running out of moves now. Everything around him is closing in as the mole is now known through Tao's organization. This leaves Holden not only having to keep himself safe but also stop from the information about who he is to leak out. This leads to more backstabbing, death of others, and saying goodbye to a old life.

Excellent storytelling, great character, twist and turns that hit, amazing art, this is the near perfect package. A 5 out of 5.

A really solid ending. Kind of felt like no other way but a wonderful goodbye to a hero having to grow up too quick.

At this point I wouldn't blame Carver for shooting every fucking body because everyone is so goddamn sneaky and using this poor guy.

This is a great showcase of a man losing his sanity slowly while dealing with two mega powerful pieces of shit trying to one up each other. In the battle of "Good vs Evil" but in reality both are pieces of shit who will use people to get their bidding done. And while all that's happening Carver is trying to let go of his old life, scare people away that care for him, beat someone half to death to prove he's not the same decent guy he was before...all while wanting to just be a regular guy once more. Feel things he can't feel anymore. It's just so sad to watch but so thrilling at the same time.

The Phillips and Brubaker team do NOT miss. No wonder they're still the GOAT team.

Another decent issue but this run seems kind of aimless for me now. Not sure I'll continue after next arc if it doesn't improve sadly.

Holy shit what a crazy last volume...and that ending? Geez.

So Carver finally puts his plans into action. He really doesn't trust either one of the head leads of either organziation so he does what he wants, and what he thinks is right. This leads to the Grifter coming back into the fold, so that Volume 0 did come in handy to have some weight to this volume for sure. Between Grifter back, Carver putting his plan forward, and every single person in his life paying the price for his actions, this goes to a dark place, with a bittersweet ending.

I loved this series. I can see why Brubaker and Phillips stuck together after this.

Still trying to decide where I would rate this as I'm writing it.

You have Renee as the main lead but really it's about 3 up and coming cops. All 3 after graduating go to their own departments and each one comes back with a crushing result to what they thought it would be. Especially one going off the very very deep end.

This story is not a easy one to take in. In vain of something like Gotham Central, this is a story of people getting screwed over, attacked for the skin color, and used as propaganda. It's a nasty look at the real world reflecting in a comicbook setting.

It take s abit to get going, and the first half was solid but not great but by the second half I had to know how it'll end up. And it was brutal to read.

A 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4 for here.

Hawkeye joining the gang helps lift this title even more.

Having a central leader, who was also bad at one point, try to turn this group around is great. Slowly picking up the pieces and forcing his good nature on to everyone else on the team is great. I will say when Busiek leaves the title adds SO many plotlines that it can get a little convoluted. Also a death of a certain character was not my favorite choice. Still, it remains high energy and fun series and I can see why Thunderbolts was around so long now.

A solid what if storyline.

Basically what would happen if Clark's parents that day driving hit a nail in the road and went back home before he landed and he never became the hero we all know and love? No SUPERMAN in our DC Universe.

What I did enjoy is there was still a focus on the Justice League and it would be made even without Superman but the landscape of the world and the way they view Meta Humans is really interesting. Lex is campaigning against Meta Humans in general, Joker is full blown crazy and does some FUCKED up shit to Batman's family here, and the way everyone has to get over trauma and loss to create a better world was fun. I felt the second half was a little too safe, especially the ending, but overall an enjoyable good time. A 3 out of 5.
