Starts off with a bang, very exciting, and a sudden death. Then we kind of slow down and the pacing loses itself. An invading force that feels like typical evil alien force is trying to take over earth and only people with super speed can stop them. A interesting idea, some fun moments, but after first issue just became kind of decent at best and the art is iffy.

Whew this was a GREAT first issue.

The dialogue is solid, very teenager like (I should know I have a 17 year old Niece who talks like this lol) and worked well for Miles growth but oh man the art is so damn good it gets to showcase Miles talents as Spider-man. Overall, can't wait for more.

I already touched on the Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu storyline in my Moon Knight Omnibus Volume 2 review. It's decent, but overly wordy and Moon Knight has the worst costume. My main focus is the first 7 issues of Marc Spector series, which is actually pretty fun. Radically different vibe than previous series of Moon Knight. More action hero, teaming up with multiple heroes was actually kind of refreshing. Also the work on Marc being more confident and almost silly at times took a bit getting used to but once I did I really dug that.

This was one of my favorite Omnibus I ever had the privilege of reading.

The Question always was interesting but I haven't had a chance to read a lot of his stuff. But now I finally got to read his first major by the late great Dennis O'Neil I now know why people love this character so much.

During 1986 we had Watchmen come out and it changed the comic game. Some comics got ALOT darker, and some worked really well with it. Green Arrow was one of them but luckily the Question was born of this, and it was a smash hit (Least in my opinion).

Dennis O'Nel and Cowan really put their best work here with creating Vic into a TV station spokesman to trying to uncover crime and stop it. It's similar vibes from Watchmen, and maybe Batman, mixed with a little Green Arrow for politics. A lot of these issues are one shots, with a overarching main story of voting for a new mayor in a broken city.

The best issues for me involved The Question being tortured by US Soldiers gone crazy, really hit the nail on patriotisms. I also loved the racism issue, as Vic was about to lose his mind with this piece of shit racist only for a crazy twist to happen. The stories get even darker as we go along this book with assassination attempts, racism, and common political warfare you still see today.

I really can't recommend this Omnibus enough. Despite few bumps or weaker issues here or there this one totally consumed me and I hope we really do get a volume 2 down the line.

A strong finish for Marjorie on her X-23 run.

First part is Laura watching Sue and Reed's kids. It's pretty funny and we get to see the jackass Collector in all his glory. Also Julian but the less we see if him the better IMO. Either way we soon move on to Laura dealing with everyday life, going back to the wild, and facing her inner demons. Overall some good character work and mostly solid art though the last issue feels like it's lacking the artwork of previous issues.

Solid all around, 3.5 but I'll bump it to a 4 for a strong closing.

Another decent issue but feels more like a Titan comic at this point than a Nightwing comic, and the "bad" guy here really doesn't feel scary or anyone we have to worry about. This series def needs more high stakes.

Most of this volume has all the S rank heroes from both Korea and Japan coming together to test each other. However, as we get into finally a new arc, they have to stop these Ant like creatures from taking over and murdering everyone. But something new is here, and it's slicing and dicing people up like nothing.

The last 50 pages or show elevated this volume from good to great. I'm excited to see what comes next for our heroes. A 4 out of 5.

Team Z works together to take on their next challenge but what happens when one of their own is the enemy? This volume is pretty fun, backstabbing always brings a sense of urgency to a story. The ending was great, and I'm eager to see where we go for the next match. Being rated M separates this series from most sports manga, everything feels more aggressive, and in a good way. A 4 out of 5.

First half of this collection, while good, is a little unfocused. Luckily the second half of it is far stronger, giving us a deeper look into Laura and her travels with her buddy Gambit and trying to find new meaning in life. It works well and shows a softer side to the character, but still brutal when needed. A 3.5 out of 5 for the collection here.

Marc has to face all the things he did right before becoming Moon Knight. He was a Merc and while he wasn't like Bushmaster he still did some horrendous shit and he wants to be held accountable. However, this volume kind of iffy on the results. The trial itself is kind of a slog till the ending then picks up considerably. The stuff with Jeff is interesting through and Marlene and the trusty pilot help make this an enjoyable ride in the second half.
