I believe this was always the weakest storyline in Bendis run. An amazing run and the weakest is still good. But very old mob boss wants revenge but the twisty turns are too cliche to really love it. Cool to see White Tiger Legacy passed down though.
A decent tale of Laura meeting Daken. Daken is a pretty meh character and just mostly a foil as always. But was nice to see Laura slowly shift her views on the world and how she tackles situations.
Oof did NOT like this one.
Confusing art that is only thrown down further with the very confusing narration and badly done internal monolog. Miller was still in his prime when he wrote this but this is by far his WEAKEST work from that era. A far cry from his excellent work on Daredevil IMO.
Was honestly a waste of my time reading this confusing, kind of ugly, and boring mess of a story.

A more mystical take, probably the most horror/mystical take for Bendis Daredevil run but it worked for being so different.
Basically a group of people meet in a church, almost like a AA meeting, but for how Daredevil effected their lives. And it starts simple enough, but evolves into a suicide/murder story with a tiny little dark arts baby creature that leans into the horror element. The ending works real well, especially with Matt's final speech, and made me see his point of view on all this crazy shit he's been going through.

Probably my favorite book so far in this series.
Ethan does a favor for a old friend to find his daughter and he does, but it comes with a price. Learning the history of this certain someone, what happened to them, has Ethan on a path of destruction. And while Ethan doesn't ALWAYS go full revenge and fuck shit up mode, he might not be able to help himself this time.
Brutal, sad, and even a bit of love in the air, this volume has everything. Great plotting, characters, motivations, and a ending that moved me. Brubaker and Phillips really are a pair of motherfucking rockstars and this volume proves it more than ever.

Another solid volume.
Probably the strongest of the bunch for this series. I think the problem I have with the series is the plotting is okay at best, the scenarios seemed forced and the way things are foreshadowed here are WAY too obvious.
On the other hand I love the tender side of Laura here. Unsure but also always helping. I also enjoyed her with Sue Richard and of course Spider-man, always fun. This volume had a bit more comedy which helps bring levity to the harsh situation Laura is usually is. I also really enjoyed Logan and Gambit relationship with her.
Overall a 3.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 4 for the hell of it.

Probably the strongest volume in the series so far.
The first half is about Spider and his girls trying to survive. But as they get deeper into working with other publications he is threatened by none other than the good old Smiley president. This is some really cool stuff. Then we get into a harrowing story about prostitution focusing on children and it is NOT easy to read, but that's the whole point of the story. Then mental illness. Two back to back fucked up stories and a little reveal of what's happening with Spider himself.
All around the strongest and most interesting volume to date so far. A 4 out of 5.

The end of an era.
Bendis puts everything he has into this final arc. Kingpin has had enough and he wants Matt exposed. He makes a deal to release papers to PROVE Matt is Daredevil once and for all. This leads everyone on a chase as news gets out. Matt tries to hunt down these papers with the help of Elecktra and Black Widow. It's chaos when Bullseye gets involved, and all hell breaks loose, leaving us battered and bruised just like Matt.
A excellent ending, sad, emotional, scary, and also amazing all at once. Plenty of great fight scenes, excellent character moments, and truly exceptional pacing. This is Bendis firing his best, and leaves many other creators having to catch up. A 5 out of 5.

Daredevil's second half for Bendis isn't AS strong as volume 1 but still remains extremely strong.
This daredevil volume is four arcs. One being more of a old fling type storyline with Black Widow and Matt Murdock teaming up to deal with some of Natasha's shit. Then we get into a crime boss, or old crime boss, coming back for revenge against Matt. Then we have a little mystical tale of a evil little baby creature messing with people and Daredevil is involved. The final arc has Kingpin striking back at Matt for what he did and having the PROOF they need to put Matt away.
It's really all solid but the last arc is phenomenal and helps keep this still one of my favorite runs of all time. While not AS strong as volume 1, volume 1 is NEAR perfect for me. So saying that, this is still fantastic. A 4.5 out of 5.

Super fun, campy, monster horror. One thing I do love is the look of Swamp Thing here, and his vengeance. It's dated, of course, but still fun as hell to read.
