This is still SO fun.

Sakamoto is helping Shin get out of this situation with the crazy bastards who use people to experiment. And they kidnapped Lu by mistake thinking she was the experiment. This leads to really fun fights and Sakamoto able to go ALL out because one guy is almost immortal, making for a brutal fight. We get a little more taste of the order as well as Uzuki, the head leader of these crazies who's a bit scary.

Overall great stuff and then we get a fun Spa day with the family that's always a joy.

Next up is Lu's backstory and I'm here for it! A 4 out of 5

This is the volume that cemented Daredevil for me as one of the greatest characters of all time.

With his secret out in the papers, everyone is wanting to know if it's true. Is Matt Murdock really Daredevil? This starts a case of the poor superhero who had fought so hard to protect these people getting treated like a circus act. On top of losing his mind Matt is dealing with villains who might come after him. And on top of all that, battling in court to protect his name. Oh, and then another superhero is put on trial, and Matt has to do his hardest to defend him.

A crazy, spiraling out of control volume, with a great courtroom drama setting, and plenty of amazing shots with excellent art. This is the best Daredevil run for me still, and that's a MIGHTY high bar. A 5 out of 5.

Dceased is finally wrapping up soon for it's final storyline and shit is going down. Another big twist, someone who dies was unexpected, and a new "hero" arrives. Things are spicing up again.

It's a little shaky at points, with needlessly long monologues at points. Especially the first issue felt like it droned on and on. BUT it did become better when we got into the main meat of the story. The highlight be having to deal with Constantine's father. A dark, twisted, really fucked up tale with a brutal ending. I loved this issue, and while there's none that lived up to it, there's still some good ones here about a poor girl who kills herself, and Difficult Beginnings storyline is a great sequel to critically Mass even if it feels lacking a bit in the middle.

Overall a solid collection, around a 3.5 out of 5.

I feel like we need some type of big twist or heavy weight to these stories now. It's feeling far to safe.

2023 Re-read - Pretty much agree with everything I said below. Still solid in all the right places, and a few funny moments I actually missed first time I read it or least forgot. Excited to get into volumes 16+ where the series goes insane. But still great building blocks.

Original Review: This volume finishes up the baddie from the last volume. In a sense this arc was a bit messy and not as exciting as the last but it still had great moments. The shining moment here is actually all about Nezuko. I'm not going to spoil it but even I gasped and nothing ever really surprises me while reading anymore.

But this volume is very much the transition volume to the next arc. After the first 1/3rd wrapping up the last arc we get pretty much a small recovery and get to see the Hashira talking about obtaining the ultimate power to stop the demons. But then we get into Tanjiro and his training to become stronger and basically we see how training works with the Hashira. It's all really fun, lots of great gags.

The best moment is with Tanjiro and Giyu. This volume lets a lot of characters break their "Silent mode" and become actual people. There's a wonderful small backstory for Giyu and you get to see who he is and why he does what he does. All really solid stuff on that end.

The art seem to be a bit lacking here. Maybe rushed in some panels? Lacking the great detail I usually expect. It's not every page or anything but I noticed it in the second half a few times. Least the comedy bits worked really well.

Demon Slayer continues to be one of the best Mangas in recent years. Even in the weaker volumes like here I still enjoyed a ton of it. I'm so eager to see where we go from here. A 4 out of 5.

Solid opening with great art but didn't impress me beyond simple Superman story. I did like the very ending though, that can lead into some good stuff.

Daredevil continues to be stellar behind Bendis's writing.

This time we get loser The Owl stirring up trouble, trying to pick up or take the spot of the Kingpin. At the same time the court case is moving closer and closer for Matt. And Milla, a new love interest, enters Matt's life. While not the strongest volume of the series, it's a solid one that introduces characters while also reintroducing old foes. This is Matt on the verge of a nervous breakdown and his little spat with Luke shows that. I really enjoyed this volume but it feels like the calm before the storm. A 4 out of 5.

Daredevil is up to fucking HERE with this shit.

Everything boils down to this moment. To this clash of titans.

Matt Murdock is getting attacked by all sides. This time Bullseye goes after him and Matt has just had about enough of this shit. A epic brawl, turned into a beatdown, that can only be summed up as brutal as hell and I loved it. Then we finish off this volume with Daredevil claiming some pretty major claims that will send ripples throughout the city.

A 5 out of 5.

Another solid volume.

One thing I like about this series is the two friends act and talk like friends. They have realistic emotions and dialogue and they don't just get crazy mad or whatever and walk out every scene. They feel like legit friends and this helps build the story.

This one has the "villains" or bad guys finally react and attack together. Almost a sinister six, but sinister 5 in this. It might take more than one person to help win this battle. The last issue is a odd one, and while the ending can lead to some great stuff, the immense change in art and such made it hard to follow.

Not as strong as volume 1-2 but still good. A 3.5 out of 5.
