Ah a little love is in the air.

It's nice to see the comparison of how parents treat their children. Even when their adults they can be real Pieces of shit, mentally abusing their kids without knowing or caring. This is a great showcase of this while also getting deeper into both main characters. I assume we'll get another time skip eventually to end this series but so far it's been a very enjoyable volume. A 3.5 out of 5.

Ouch...boring. I liked the idea of going back and forth between current time and before Dick joined Bruce but holy hell was I nodding off half the time. Wolfman isn't one of my favorite writers, and this comic does him no favors. I think might jump ahead in Batman and skip Wolf's run on the detective.

Milligan can be a bit wordy, and he is here, but this issue almost all works.

Riddler is playing games. And while not my favorite villain, he can make up some exciting moments. In this he's playing a game where letting a woman die in front of the Batman, then he tries to hang a cop and Batman has to rescue him, and then he abducts babies and uses them as a ploy to make Batman pretty much do everything in his power to save them.

Way darker than I expected, but enjoyable. Not sure about that last page though. Let's find out.

Geez, Batman failing or barely winning is great. Seeing him stop death, sometimes, but the Riddler ahead of him is so fun. I'm really digging this, though the ending is pretty shocking. I'd be surprise if Batty is able to do what he says with that knife and that baby =O

While not as strong as part 1 and 2, it still closes out well. Dealing with sacrifices and such, and doing it in a semi-clever way though they were too transparent the direction they were going last issue, it still was solid enough. Batman's final few thoughts were actually rather touching.

Well the title is no lie, this is a dark city.

It starts off simple enough. Batman hunting Riddler. And it could go one of two ways. Boring and been there done that, or exciting and brutal. Luckily we got with the later, and get a compelling look into the mind of a desperate Batman trying to save the lives of babies while catching a psycho. While it goes a bit too supernatural at the end, it works really well for the most part. A solid 3.5 out of 5. I'll bump it to a 4.

Really dug this issue.

This deals with a psycho masked murderer going around killing people in Gotham, but also somehow controlling innocent people to kill, all while Bruce is trying to comfort Tim after losing his mother. Works on both levels.

First I just wanna say, this cover? Amazing.

So I dunno if I've been sleeping on Grant, or his Knightfall sections didn't impress me too much few years ago, but this shit is fireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

So Batman is trying to just stop people from being awful, which makes sense. These criminals are going to get a beatdown. But while that's happening there's a guy running away in the sewers from a psycho who can control rats. That's right...RATCATCHER! And for such a silly name, his powers are truly horrifying. He can control rats and these rats, well let's just say take a BITE out of crime. Batman confronts him next and it's not going to be easy for our favorite detective.

Good stuff.

Ratcatcher is def a villain that should be feared. His power is disgusting and scary. I liked Batman's ideas, and this dark take worked well. A 4 out of 5.
