100% did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did.

As some people know I've been waiting for this Omnibus for like 2+ years, maybe 3 years, now and I'm so glad to finally have it. Predator goes back and gives us the stories originally published years and years ago after the movie was a huge success.

Opening with one of the biggest stories, Concreate Jungle, we have the Predator come to New York City. What starts off eerily similar to Predator 2 the movie quickly turns into a full on invasion storyline by the end equipped with a whole army of the Predators. It's a fun story that kicks off this collection the right way.

After that we travel through various different stories, some funny and over the top like the Italian mob verses predators to ones more serious like a Pirate fighting for his life with a Predator to more somber stories such as the final one titled Kindred which sees a small town attacked by the creature of darkness. While there's a few stories that didn't work for me, the vast majority are either fun and dumb or actually legit really well done Predator stories that I'd love to see in a movie some day maybe.

Overall, a great collection for Predator fans. I'd dare say better than even any of the Alien Omnibus (Even the first which I enjoyed) and far superior to 2 and especially 3 for Alien Omnibus. I hope we get another which I believe will finish it up. So give me more Marvel. MORE!!!

Not as strong as volume 1 but enjoyable none the less.

This time Black Panther comes to his allies for help. After the secrets start burying him, he begins to realize maybe it's to heavy a burden to fight back alone. The war for Wakanda rages here and ends. The next arc is more zanny and weird with a clear message by the end.

It's solid and good characterization for Black Panther and his growth. I also liked his somber moments, his doubts, but conviction being just as strong. A personal dealing with too much but never backing down. Interesting ideas if not fully realized. I think the second half of this book goes too supernatural and should be more grounded.

Saying that still a solid read and a 3 out of 5.

Silly yet somewhat charming hulk issue until the very end when he faces off against Windigo and in comes wolverine with the most atrocious looking suit of all time.

This is both bad and good. Maybe so bad it's good. It's just so over the top silly cartoon feel but seeing wolverine and hulk team up for few pages is fun.

Probably one of the highest rated Wolverine stories, and glad I finally got a chance to read.

This is a very dark, fucked up, look into the days inside weapon X for Logan. We waste no time with him being tested on within the first 25 pages of the book. Kidnapped and used, crafted into the ultimate weapon, Logan undergoes some of the most horrible things humans can do to each other. Treat them as nothing more than a means to a end.

Logan's trauma is played out well here, giving characters a more human look into things. There's no over the top evil warlord, it's just people being awful, and there's plenty of real life people just like that sadly. This leads to a more realistic take than I expected, and the violence shocking and brutal when happening.

I'd say sometimes was hard to follow the dialogue, seems all over the place in placement at times. Maybe to make you feel like logan but I didn't love that.

But overall very much worth reading, especially if you're a Logan fan. A 4 out of 5.

Pretty solid stuff. Logan trying to get married, x-men visiting, and some sweet revenge by the end.

The sequel that probably wasn't needed but glad we got.

Dan is all grown up now. After the events of the hotel things have changed, maybe even for the worst. Through his teenage and adult years Dan developed a nasty little habit of drinking. Similar to his papa this drinking problem causes a lot of pain for people. Soon into the story we see what happens when a drunk loser version of Dan does to another family that leaves him scared.

At the same time we focus on a group of...well let's just say not humans, as they are on a trail of blood and destruction by taking the life from people who can use the shining. That's right, the power that Danny had in the first book? Other kids have it too. And these creatures, who look all too human, want it and the only way to have it is to kill.

This is really a story of recovering. A huge focus is on Dan trying to make right after years of doing terrible things. Mostly to himself but others as well. A way to make up for what he's done basically. He meets a young girl, Abra, who also has the power of the shining, but even stronger than Dan. And the leader of the group of creatures who kill, Rose, wants her bad. This becomes a cat and mouse game, but Dan won't let it go that easy.

It's a different style of horror. More of a thriller than the original being more of a decent of a man into darkness turned vicious killer/abuser. The idea is different enough yet it still feels like a true sequel. And while it goes more supernatural root with the powers, it somehow still feels grounded and works for this story/universe.

I do think it takes a bit to get there. I was unsure how I felt about the villains, and while I came to enjoy them in the second half, they were the least interesting part in the first half.

Overall though a damn fine sequel to one of my favorite Stephen King Novels. A 4 out of 5.

Like Book 1 and 2, this series continues to impress.

I really loved learning much more about Anna, she always seemed interesting but not enough about her to care. Now this volume gives us a better look at her, where she came from, why she's like how she is, and her relationship with Ethan. And when their relationship of mentor or father/daughter comes into question, Ethan must figure out how to repair it while also dealing with a rough case.

The thing I love is this has the mix of hard boil detective style that Brubaker and Phillips are masters of. But you also get some of the most human characters of the bunch. Very much so here, with a lot of the characters feeling like they're in it for the long run. I love the character work so much that the main case almost felt like secondary, and for me, who loves character development, that rocks.

Overall while the case itself isn't as strong as the last one the actual character work was great. Can't wait to read the next one.

While hailed as one of the best wolverine stories I found it just decent.

I will say Frank Miller's art really worked for me here at points. The fights, while simple, were easy to follow and looked good. I also think some shots, like wolverine bursting through a building window while fighting ninjas looks absolutely badass. So big kudos to the art department on this one, really worked for me.

The story is simple enough but feels too much like the typical Japanese Samurai honor storyline but instead of a white dude from US being the main hero like in last Samurai, we have a white dude from Canada. It's simple, and not all that compelling to me. I did like the side characters, especially the foil between wolvie and his soon to be wife, but overall it didn't win me over as far as plotting goes. Wasn't bad just okay.

Overall, art is great, story is decent, a 3 out of 5.

Pretty solid stuff. Wolverine vs silver samurai and the last two pages were pretty solid. Rest ehhh okay.
