Ouch this is pretty bad. Some fun ideas mixed with some truly terrible dialogue at points and wonky art. This series, like Batgirls, just doesn't do characters I normally love the justice they deserve.
A much better issue. I think the batman and Superman dynamic works well, supes is charming and fun, and Robin and Supergirl is very funny. Good art too helps alot.
Dumb fun.
Sometimes that's all I want from comics.
When Deathstroke and Black Canary are forced to team up you know shits about to go down. Some crazy missions, lots of set up for Shadow Wars and Justice League event, but still remains fast paced and fun. Highlighted when Black Canary is on the page. The sudden art switch ups could be jarring though.

This is 100% a Jim Gordon comic, and it's better cor it. Joker is still on the run, and Jim is coming up empty-handed. That is until he meets a certain hulking beast of a woman. Lots of cool moments here with an excellent annual make this volume another strong one for the series.
Breaks my heart but this Volume is even worse than the second one.
The major issue with this volume for me is not one single story is a 5 star. You get a few that scrape by with a 3 or 4 star, but none impressed me to the point I was blown away. Some solid one shots, or goofy one shots that worked on a entertainment level, but as far as actual plot and characters, none of these did much.
It's the 90's. Alot of bad comics were made then.
And this is no exception. A ton of really bland, over the top, titties popping out for no reason, dumb plotlines that barely made sense half the time. I reviewed most of them individually but more than half of this was a mess at best, terrible more than not. I couldn't stand some of the art either in some stories.
A weak overall Omnibus and I'm really hoping volume 4, the final one, steps it up.

The reveal was big enough to push this issue to a 4. A little slow but the characters still really work.
Uh everyone is relearning what happened and I could only imagine Walter's reaction
If gonna do an exposition issue, THIS is how you do it. And that ending??? Fuuuuuuck.
Everyone is moving into the end game, one is already taken out... I'm not sure how this will end but I'm ready.
Starts a bit slow with decent storybeats but the last 5 pages picks up immensely and that ending? Let's freaking GO!
