I'd put it between a 3.5 and a 3. It has some elements I very much enjoyed, some cliche moments, and some dull moments.
SO the Death of Wolverine is a big old pile of dog shit. One of the worst stories I ever read. Had no interest in reading anything past it. But then I saw my dude Tom Taylor write it, and I had to least try it out.
I'm glad I did.
So X-23 is now the new Wolverine. She's out there doing what she does back, slashing bitches who need some cutting, except she doesn't go too berserker like her father Logan. Now we have 3 sisters who look just like her. Clones! Yaya.
Okay so the good is the dialog between Wolverine and the 3 sisters. They all feel real, well developed, and interesting. I also loved the different slight designs yet still making them all look pretty similar. Also, the cameo of Dr. Strange and Wasp was great.
On the flip side it played a little safe, you expected this to happen, and it did. Also the whole "military secret hidden project gone out of control now we must fix it" is both done a million times before and done better. So this was lackluster when came to plot.
However, it was a fun read and I'll be continuing this series without a doubt. Tom writes characters great, and this is no exception.

I'm really enjoying this series. Maybe because I never cared about Tim before, maybe because I just enjoy Yost writing (check out scarlet spider) but I'm actually having fun here.
SO Ra is not happy with Red Robin's betrayal. He sends all his people to Gotham to show the little birdy what's what. Robin is like nah-uh, and heads back to Gotham to help his friends. Unlike Batman though, he doesn't do it himself, he relies on friends to help.
It's a entertaining, well drawn, little arc of Tim growing up to be the man (and detective) he's meant to be. He's not as funny as Dick, he's not as ruthless as Todd or Damian, but he has a charm about him, something that makes him fun to read, and these last two volumes prove that.
Some cheese in here included, Red Robin has been a fun adventure so far. On to volume 3, and a new writer, so hoping for the best.

I think this was my favorite volume. Which might be odd because I can see people thinking this is the worst.
So we have our hero finally starting up a new life. He finds a new little city, becomes the sheriff, and does what he does best. Put everyone who needs a lesson in their place. It's both hysterical who he fights and tragic and sad in the end results of what happens to certain characters. I really loved this arc because it brings a 'rebirth' in a sense for our Preacher.
After that we finally got the history of Tulip, and learn all about her past. It's both sweet and tragic, and made me feel bad for the character, but proud of what she became. This is one of my favorite female heroes in a long time.
On the flip side the second portion is all following a theme of second chances. Of turning a new leaf and fixing things. It's truly amazing to watch certain characters completely changing and fixing their life. I really loved some of the stories, made me laugh like crazy, and the final issue is nearly perfect. All about trying what feels right one more time and hoping for the best.
Plus the ending gets you pumped for the final volume/book. This is it guys, we're almost at the end, and after all that reflecting we finally get to the end. Let's hope for the best.

This series remains interesting (and fun) with each issue. So this volume contains Hit list, which offers us a deeper look to see what Red Robin is all about. He created a list, striking off names, and teaching villains (and sometimes heroes) what lessons they need. You get to see Tim becoming a man slowly here, taking control of his life.
I really enjoyed this one, especially the Batman Reunion and the end results of the big fight. I think Tim remains a fun loving interesting character who's growing as he goes. I never cared about him before this series, but now I can see why people are fans of him.

I struggled to see where I would land. Is it a 3 or a 4? In the end, the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. So I'm settling on a 4.
John is at a crossroads in life. Trying to figure out what's important to him, what he needs, what he wants to do. So many questions surround him, and as crazy as it sounds, he needs to finally make some big decisions. I know some people find this as filler, I found it as soul seeking, and to me that's the most interesting arc for a lot of characters.
Sure there's some dull chapters here and there, and I thought the ending could have went full on horror and gave us a shocking moment that I thought was building. Dan knows full well how to do that, and in the end of the last trilogy he did just that. So was surprised it felt like a little cop out here.
But the ending is still heartbreaking, and now I'm interested to see John as a man who must make up his mind on what he wants to do HIMSELF instead of blaming or using others as crutches.

This was by far the weakest volume. Scoring it around a 2.5 out of 5.
The positives are mostly watching Tim grow and change here. The final issue really shows just how truly special the boy is. See Damien is vicious, Dick is courageous, Jason is insane, but tim is calculated. If he wanted, he can run with that and be a fierce villain. Thankfully he's not, because the bat family would have trouble.
I really enjoyed my time with Tim, learning about who he is, but this volume felt rushed and things were jumping all over. One issue Cass came to help Tim and then he went to help her, and they jumped around so much, it felt so disjointed, and lifeless. Same with the naked girl trying to get prego, way to rushed. The ending was good, the rest was okay. However, Volume 1-3 are very much worth reading.

This was okay. 2.5 is what I'd give it. Solid art (that one shot of her ass was odd but okay) and the overall storylines feel very disconnected at points. However, this volume does have redeeming values.
One thing I loved was her interaction with Dick, bruce, and her roommate. They all felt well crafted and had heart. Jim's interaction was decent as well. However, the mother relationship felt a little forced, and didn't mend well. Also the villains main reasoning was...dumb? I didn't feel it.
So it's enjoyable for what it is but nothing special. I'll check out the next volume hoping it's stronger than the first.

It's actually around a 3.5 but since I enjoyed it more than most of Waid's run so far I'll go give it a 4 star.
Sure, the last issue was silly. Having a copier villain is boring. Even more boring is the villain behind it all being all "hahaha I AM EVIL" type shit. Listen, this isn't 1965, we don't like that silly boring shit no more. RIGHT!? Oh whatever.
However, I loved the chapter of Foggy's "Death". I also loved the fun charming feel of Daredevil staying here. Also the other "hero" in this is both damaged and interesting, and gives more layers to our favorite blind hero. Overall, this whole volume is just a lot of fun with some great character growth moments.
I'm ready to continue now, Waid has brought me back!

Now that, that is how you finish a volume. What a fucking BADASS sword fight scene, in a comic, which is not easy to do.
On top of that we get a ton of progress in the main story. Certain people come back into play, betrayals on the rise, and man oh man watching our favorite hero learn to care and love other Lazarus types is awesome. I also really enjoyed the growth of her and the father, and seeing a new side to it all.
I know my review sounds vague but I feel if I mention even the slightest thing it'll be a big spoiler on previous volumes. AND I WANT PEOPLE TO READ THIS. So please, go read it. Highly entertaining and very well written.
